Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Any takers??

I've bought quite a bit of the karrimor running gear but no runners. The running vests, jackets and shorts are all as good quality as the likes of nike/puma/adidas. I'd be wary of runners though just because of the damage you could do to your feet. You might be better getting a pair in the sale section off wiggle: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/sale/offroad-running-shoes/ Availability will depend on your shoe size but for example here are two trail runners that are cheaper than the karrimors and more recognised as quality trail runners:

Many including myself have got caught out with sizing go items so here's an idea that we all could do is measure items we have bought ie chest sizes on tops waist and leg sizing etc and set up a sizing guide for sports direct items

As I do find with some items you are taking a stab in the dark when selecting a size and this could leave us all more confident when buying.

You could also take a wander into your local Heaton's if convenient and check the brands and their sizes there. The exact same own Sports Direct own brands are in Heaton's Sports World.

Have to return 4 pants. All the same size on the tags but two are too small and two are wayyyy too big (be careful with the no fear jeans. They are like black bags). What is the cheapest method of getting the back to them?

Anyone got any advice on this before it gets swallowed up and disappears amongst the mug comments? :D

Do they have one of those free post stamp things you could print off?

If not, an post seems the only way to go....

Maybe post a link to what you got, with sizes. There might be someone on here that'll take them.

I'm sure those mugs used to be a quid or something online.

I suppose nobody actually buys them so shoving the price up makes the freebie look a lot better.

Ya but they are not free return post. You have to pay it yourself.
I called An Post and it about €11 regular post.

No fear jeans X 2 and Pierre Cardin trousers - grey cord & cream cord.
    Size 36L.

Wildly different in actual size. The jeans are ridiculous big and the cords are like skinny jeans...

I would expect it to be delivered tomorrow if it's at dublin tonight

My order was in Dublin Tuesday and I got it Wednesday. I expect that you'll get a call from DHL tomorrow. If you're friendly with a local shop, ask them to take the order. I do that with my orders mainly because I live in the back arse of nowhere and would feel guilty having a chap driving about looking for my house, even if it is their job!

Depends what part of the country you're in. I'm in the west and my parcel took another day to get from Dublin to Shannon. It was delivered the day it arrived in Shannon.

Stuff arrived today, in a massive box! It was partially open too, but all the stuff was in it, including a Dunlop golf umbrella that might never see the light of day :D

Alas, they didn't send me the infamous mug. Maybe my 3rd order...

Spent 85€ on Tuesday morning. Got a sack of stuff yesterday afternoon to the door. Must say , I had my reservations but the quality of all the stuff is very decent. Jumpers, shorts, boxers, socks - the firetrap stuff is great. Lee cooper tops also. Ordered medium in everything and the fit is excellent so nothing to go back. Really impressed for the price.

My €2.99 umbrella made it's debut in yesterdays rain, and failed miserably...

One bad gust of wind and it flipped inside out, with about 4 or 5 of the stalk arms ripping apart. Useless.

In fairness umbrellas are not particularly designed for the very high winds we got yesterday.

I feel so hurt, still didnt get my mug
They must not like a Kildare address :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,783 ✭✭✭RidleyRider

The mug ploy is very good. Think about it, we all want a mug so we order. Order comes, no mug. We come here to complain and then order again for more stuff we need in hope of a mug. Its a cruel cruel circle but its working :pac:

Same applies for if you get the mug, you feel obliged to thank their good grace :pac:

First order; all good but I should have gotten my Nike running shoes in a 9 1/2, not a 10. Doh!

My karrimor running tops are lovely. I ordered one in a m and the other in a small (because of the reviews) and both fit perfectly.

Going to return the trainers for a half size smaller. Lovely trainers though!

Would make sense that minimum amount has to be spent. My order was over 100€ and i got a mug.
Has anyone spent under 50€ and got a mug?

The first order I ever made a couple of years ago was for about €40 and I got a mug, I have made several orders since and never got a mug again. ( 2 or 3 were above the €100) I am not a fan of the mug anyway as I have mentioned before. The mug is terrible quality and awful looking (and smaller than my usual mug:cool:) so I am not too pushed. If I ever do get another one (seems unlikely!) I would be happy to pass it on to another boardsie who feels hard done by!

Just a heads up to anybody living in uk, you can buy stuff online and exchange it in store.... I am living in aberdee and found things are often cheaper online. Exchanged a top today that was too big (my new years gym resolution is paying off :o )
