Interesting temperatures around today and large variations on the wow.met.ie map.

I'm particularly taking notice of the 5c's from Met Eireann ACS stations from Tulla, Clare to Emyvale, Monahan. A thin sliver of a warm sector?

Up in Dublin Mountains today.... Around 350 metres.... Up to 20 cm of snow in places.... Have taken loads of photos but they won't attach when I click on the attach files pin.. Any other way of doing it????

They may be too big or of a unusual format. try resizing into jpg or png format for example.

Didn't thaw here in parts of county Galway at all, temp in Galway city was around 3 degrees when I left there at 3pm. Its between 0 and. 5 roughly 20kms away from the city.

Yes you can crash your car in packed snow like that and you’ll be stuck of hours.

I learn’t my lesson last year.

The GFS says you'll get -3c uppers around 1am according to this:

It also shows rain on the back edge for areas within 10 miles of Lough Foyle/North Coast:

I can not get enough of this weather - bright blue skies and so cold. I don’t have a weather station but when I was in the car a few times during the day the temp said it didn’t get to more than +1.
Lough Derg well frozen in parts - attached is a pic of a couple of hardy swans walking on it.
Note: this is all well within my 5km ;-)

It would be great if you could, however it also needs to be -0.1c or lower all the way back up to the cloudbase right overhead and into the cloud layer too.

Important note made above about the local restrictions though and I understand that.
Was really nice up there though and a proper tonic for this very stressful time we are all going through. Honestly the only living things we came close to were a fox and a few sheep. Glad I could share some snowy pics

Yep, the car was reading 3C a few minutes ago, my hands are saying it's a lot colder than that.

Looks like Clare is avoiding any of this. North Clare where I am might see some rain alright. It would take some exceptional circumstances to see anything being so close to the sea.

The spring of 2018 was probably once in a lifetime for my area. The bright frosty mornings have been lovely though! Looking forward to seeing some pictures later on.
