Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

****ing ****! They took that 50 euro out of my account and in exchange I received 7.22

    Their excuse -

    I see the problem there.

The market was left up after the second goal had been scored so the bet had to be settled at the correct price of the market after the goal had been scored.

    BS
Posting your betting slip with the receipt number on it isn't the smartest thing to do.There's bound to be someone here working for pp lol.I did notice on pp tonight was all over the place for about 30 mins when the matches started, they had the celtic game 0-0 for ages when they were down 3 nil, and half the odds never updated on most games even after 20 mins of play.

Did you place a bet after the event was known?

Well I've cooled off and can see the error of my ways now. Live and learn as they say.

What are you talking about, the last 2 days I've clearly seen the tips up here
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=67705659#post67705659
and I've managed to get on a few, so what are you talking about, did you have a bad day at the office yourself?

il leave you off lightly by saying this is an AFTER TIMING TREAD,hence the aftertiming...anyway most of them are logged so get over yourself,in fact a lot of people do give a rats ass about the tips i give..
the fact of the matter is i have a hitrate of 12/14.....
its not bragging,,im just trying to give people on here an edge on the bookie, for once,my friend works in the business so he has a massive advantage over the bookie.most of the time hes actually at the racecourse so that helps too, long may it continue.
    regards,
    coughlan...;)

12 out of 14 hit rate is tasty.

Never really go near the horses - only reason to go near them in my opinion is
    1) your in the industry and you have the inside info over the common joe sixpack
    2) you have a disciplined staking system
    3) to compliment the enjoyment of a few pints with you mates

What's your strategy, do you just pile on the hot favourite and hope for the best, or are you getting tips? (Sorry if you mentioned all this before)

Does your young whippersnapper friend fancy setting up a thread for us tortured punters on Boards?:D

Is he a jockey, works in a bookies, own or train horses?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭coughlan08

    yes i covered everything before.
    but heres a brief reply.

im getting tips for the horses,i know nothing about the sport, well a small bit..
no doesnt have the time/patience to set up a log,hes always working, anyway he said he thinks were all a bit special for spending most of our time on here, its just not for him...
he works with his father and trains horses in a small yard down in cork,
goes to as many meetings as possible and hence pick up info..
    nuff said..

Luckily they won but Iphones are dangerous whilst drunk with the PP app screaming at you...

Bizzarely I had nearly the same €1 bet, same 3 games but I had Israel to win away from home @11/8 instead of the draw. Good job on getting it up, I patted myself on the back for the Belarus result but wouldn't have guess the other draw. Montenegro was a great shout, it means I'm sweating on this tonight....still unsure whether to back Djokovic to lock in profit, I think it might not be worth it.

    Edit: Nadal wins! :)

as ye prob all know im fairly scarce from this place of late..
ive been backing my friends selections for the last few weeks, and it has kinda turned me off betting on any other sport..

i got tiped for this bet and dansilver...dansilver lost, had 200 on him.

anyway was drinking away with the lads in my new apartment, when i got the call again...my bank was lookin very nice thus the good run of luck the past few weeks and said **** it il throw 400 on.
he won by a head, didnt tell the lads about how much i put on because they would prob think im mad,(which i am)..just told them turn the racing channel on...

my hand is still shaking as i wright this as it wasnt lookin good with a furlong to go...
by god i left a shout out when he won though, lads thought i had around 50 on....sshhh,say nothing...:pac:

time for a withdrawel first thing tomo morning me thinks..
    all the best lads...

Haven't bet in almost 2 weeks as nothing really interested me and then was away for a week. So went a bit nuts today with some large-ish stakes to try make my flights money back.

    atpic.jpg

Had 300 on the top one and 100 on each of the others. Can't claim all winners today as i lost 200 on overs for the Sevilla vs PSG and PSV vs Sampdoria games. Had 100 on each. Still over 520 profit so i'm a happy man.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭coughlan08

    crazy day today tbh.....

had losses throughout the day, lost a nice bit on fulgur along with other tiny bets which added up to 400..
these were the winners today which more than made up for those losses.
my mate was working at wolves hence his strike rate continuing..2/3 today.
    4-1 winner
    3-1 winner
9/2 loser beaten by a lenght.
the other winners were just my fancys..

Good stuff HS. Looking at your time of bet and time of goal Seattle were 4/1 with around 20 minutes left? I should have been watching that instead of the American football. Those were great odds for one more goal. And the clean sheet as well i suppose.

Had a bit of luck with this as the line dropped to 15.5 from 16.5 while confirming the bet. I didn't even notice it until after the match and thought i lost.

The reason i have 2 of the same bets is that i placed the treble at 4:22 while drunk and forgot about it. Had 50 on it and the Chelsea bet was -3. Not wise to gamble while drunk but i got away with it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭coughlan08

again ive made a killing the last 2 days..
im on a serious role atm...

had losses of 150 with the horses the last 2 days.my mates strike rate just keeps getting better..

cork were losing by 4 when it was evens i think and 6 when it was 8/5,something like that anyway...i knew cork couldnt play as bad and with the introduction of the subs who in my opinion should be started would win the game..
it was close though and fair play to down on a fantastic season...

Don't get too carried away with it though. I've noticed your stakes and betting regularity have increased massively from when i first noticed your bets. Especially with the horses. I just wouldn't have the balls for that. You don't wanna get to the point where you're throwing down thousands. Anyways congrats and long may it continue.

Of course, it's all relevant to how much you lose.

Do you only bet with one bookmaker?

well he did say "profit" didn't he,it's just a matter of if you beleive a random stranger on the net, personally i think this is a good thread to read through but sometimes you see screenshots with bits removed etc

thanks, dont worry the reason for the increased stakes is due to the increased bank..the proportion is the exact same if you know what i mean.

i loss 150,between 2 horses,1 being my own pick, the other my mates.

understand your comment about believing me or not.but by now you should or at least some people, as ive been sending them my mates pics, via phone...

thanks for your advice gavin but whenever i make a profit like this its withdrawn the following morning and put into my bank account, dont use a credit card, just cash as it stops me from chasing losses or over staking..i have a set limit and i stick to it..

    I meant over time.

The simple maths and stats mean that everyone will have winning days and losing days.

I'd open accounts with as many bookmakers as possible and always take the best odds available. It's a game of percentages and this is the simplest way to improve your betting.

    Well done with the wins!

    another great day.
this time i took screenshots of all my account both winners and losers.
home advantage was a tip from here
    the rest were mine...
hopefully this will stop people saying,"ya your winning a 1000 but prob losing 2000"....

profit of roughly 700 again today,,,im laughing.
only 1 loser, that been peace corps.the rest winners

Good stuff, keep it up but I wouldn't be backing the favourites in every race as you seem to do, they won't win all the time.

Anyway, keep the cash coming ;)
