Big one tonight. Inter haven't beaten the bianconeri since 2016. Inter have a near full squad while juve have de Ligt, Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado out due to COVID-19, with Paulo Dybala out injured too. Juve have been playing alright lately but inter surely be fancying their chances. I fancy inter to beat them but it's inter so you could never rely on them.

Yep Orsolini looks to have something about him alright.

Him, Locatelli, Boga, De Paul, they should all be playing for bigger clubs surely. Especially Locatelli.

Napoli are battering Fiorentina in the early game.
    5-0 with 10 to go

Could be some huge win for Crotone today to take them out of the relegation zone

Holy crap. Benevento have been really good up to today

    Line-ups for the Derby d'Italia:

Inter: Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Vidal, Young; R Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez

Juventus: Szczesny; Danilo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Frabotta; Chiesa, Rabiot, Bentancur, Ramsey; Morata, Ronaldo

Can't see Inter winning tonight, Juve have been playing a bit better and Inter haven't been great the last few games. Hopefully it's a good game.

Inter should be 2 up only for poor finishing from Martinez

Could have a couple more, I reckon Juve will be the better team in the 2nd half and Inter will regret the missed chances in the 1st half.

Inter have been good going forward so far. Definitely had a few chances for a second

Ronaldo has been a shadow of himself these season. Seems age is catching up with him.....

    Brilliant stuff

This is turning into great title race

Big result for Inter. Starting to believe Juve's period of dominance is about to end.

Still has 15 Serie A goals this season and is top scorer. I think sometimes too much is expected of him to be honest, Juve have been very hit and miss this season and you can't expect Ronaldo to be great in every game when the rest of the team is inconsistent. I thought they were very poor tonight, Inter could have had 4 or 5 and Juve did very little. good for the league that they're not having a good season but I still expect them to win it.

Yeah, mskes no difference to Juventus, still the same points from the top. Commentary said a funny thing. I checked it, and Bonucci is the top selling soccer shirt in South Dakota :)

Looked accidental but in general I'm not sure kissing another players jersey is a good look during Covid

Zlatan is back and with two goals.

He could be in the running for the Ballon d'or this season.

    Mandzukic has joined Milan.

Experience is obviously the way to go for their forward line! :)

AC with a big 3-0 defeat at home today but Inter can only draw away to Udinese, would have went too with a win.

Was shocked to see just how bad Milan's stats against Atalanta are before the game. Only won 1 in 11 now and haven't beaten them in San Siro in 7

And Inter blow it. If nobody else wants it the hunchbacks will take the scudetto :(

Frustrating result for Inter. Big let off for Juve. Seemed like Lukaku got himself into the right positions but neither Lautaro nor Hakimi looked for him.

And Conte fights with referee in the tunnel after!

Atalanta could have had a few more too, made bits of Milan!

Feel like these two results for the Milan teams will be the turning point letting Juve grow confidence and go on to win the league.

Napoli scored after 8-9 seconds against Verona.

    Lozano with a quick goal.

    Napoli losing 2-1 now.

They really let Juve do it again.

It would be horrible if they don't I have hope that this Juve are not good enough to not have a few slips themselves

That was some spanking Milan took yesterday. Atalanta looked fantastic. Ilicic really is a joy to watch. Inter do an inter and fail to capitalise. Udinese are a frustrating team though. Verona not an easy place to go to since they came up as well but that's a nice beating Napoli took. The hunchbacks winning this morning now they are 100% back in it.

Line-ups for the Derby della Madonnina in the Coppa:

Inter: Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Kolarov; Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Vidal, Perisic; Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez

Milan: Tatarusanu; Dalot, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Meite; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic

Can see Milan scoring a few tonight, Kolarov and Perisic will be ripped apart on the left, I'd rather have Ranocchia start and move Kolarov out wide.

Lukaku not happy with whatever Ibra said to him there at half time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,086 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Interesting night at the San Siro.
Milan one up through an Ibra goal and add Kjaer to the injury list.

Bit the real story is what the hell did Ibra say to Lukaku to cause a fight on the pitch that continued down the tunnel a few minutes later.

The Belgian looked very angry and there was no calming him down

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,522 ✭✭✭dor83

Lukaku not happy with whatever Ibra said to him there at half time.

Sounded like he was saying "Don't talk about my mother" or something to that effect when he was going in at half time. Doesn't really matter what he said, Lukaku shouldn't be reacting like that because Ibra was clearly trying to wind him up and get him sent off.

EDIT: Just had another look and he was saying "You want to speak about my mother" I think.

Absolute BS red card for Ibra. Can VAR not be used to check that before the ref starts swinging reds around

It's soft, but softer have been given for a second bookable offence. That said rebic booked and did something more blatant than zlatans trip and wasn't booked

    Great penalty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,522 ✭✭✭dor83

Did the ref and 4th official just swap earpieces? Surely they could keep their own ones, not very hygienic to swap them.

All inter for the last half hour and no surprise they got the goal. Fantastic free kick it was too

Taking a player down from behind is a yellow in modern football and that's exactly what he did and it was intentional, he should know better than to do that when already on a yellow.

Yeah but Inter have been struggling to make the most of chances for the last couple of weeks, plus Tatarusanu had a good game so it wasn't a given that the 2nd goal would come. It was a great free kick, took that to beat Tatarusanu.

Also, Golazzo on BT3 now for a bit of 90s nostalgia.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,120 ✭✭✭justshane

Was a soft second yellow but Ibra has been around long enough to know he shouldn’t be giving the ref a decision to make. Super free kick, one of those you just knew was going in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Surprised Atalanta lost 3-1 at home to Lazio. Caught the highlights and thought Gollini was poor in goal.

Juve vs Roma next week should be good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,522 ✭✭✭dor83

Line=ups for the Derby d'Italia in the semi-final first leg of the Coppa:

Inter: Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Vidal, Young; Lautaro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez

Juventus: Buffon; Cuadrado, Demiral, De Ligt, Alex Sandro; McKennie, Bentancur, Rabiot, Bernardeschi, Ronaldo, Kulusevski

Inter aren't the same team without Lukaku, just lack any real threat, so I think a draw will be a good result and then try to get the win next week when he's back.
