Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't give a f**k about him, but I find the outrage from some of my fellow citizens and media hilarious. I live in Ireland btw.

    He's yooge. Bigly yooge.

Plus, he's a narcissistic, misogynistic, racist creep.

hes a populist. The only reason he exists as president is because there was an absolute refusal to listen to the majority of people, hence creating a vacuum for him to fill. Now everyone is split down the middle, despite majority concerns.

Instead of people questioning him as president, maybe they should focus on WHY hes president. Hes making the right moves for a lot of people that were purposefully disenfranchised.

Other than the presidency, hes just another wealthy ass.

Hillary Clinton is the reason he is president.

Great guy you don't become president by not being a great guy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 431 ✭✭mammajamma

Hillary Clinton is the reason he is president.

Hilary Clinton was nothing, she was simply yet another in a long line of clones, preaching and doing the same crap as before.

If hillary Clinton was so influential, how did trump get through the republican primaries then?

Nah, hes a populist giving an alternative political route (anything potentially different is better than the guaranteed same old same old). Like most of the world is turning to as we type.

He wants to make America great again.

His route seems to be to antagonize various foreign states into blowing up America, so that he can recreate it better next time.

Think he's following the German model after WW2.

There exists a state in between being a billionaire and being broke.

Thing is I watched a vox Pop on RTE news couple of weeks ago to lazy to turn away so watched the report. It was in Vegas asking people on the street about Trump and the up coming elections. Now maybe they got unlucky and couldn't find any of the 'outraged' but everyone the reporter chatted to seemed happy with Trump and what he's up to. One guy thought he was a bit mad but was happy that cause of Trump he has a job and money in his pocket.

Cause and effect. And not racism either.

As some comedian said at the time, a lot of people voted for Obama. So where did all the supposed red-necks racists come from?

    Theyre the same people!

He does what he says he’ll do and he looks after his own people first.

Ours are all too busy cowering to their European overlords..

I intensely dislike him as a person but I saw a long way out that he was likely to succeed because he struck a chord with people who are sick and tired of being lied to and paying through the nose for the pleasure.

Following Leo’s lies and failed promises I’ve begun to think we need a strong right wing leader for a few years. Sort out all the whingers and scroungers..

What we have now isn’t working for a lot of us and that won’t go on forever..

Imagine being so racist that the first monument you designate as POTUS is one which honours African American's role in the Civil War.

It's debatable that is either a billionaire nor a businessman, considering his $200,000,000 inheritance, his many bankruptcies and the American banks refusing to lend to him since the late 1990s leading to him borrowing from Russia and compromising himself and the safety of the citizens of the US.

As a human being, he is abhorrent, childish and hate-filled, which explains the fact that he has not a friend in the world, just a succession of leeches and money-grabbers, including his own family.

He actually won a smaller share of the popular vote than Mitt Romney.

Anyone who can annoy the liberal mob and be successful at it is a gem in my books. The left these days seem to be more concerned about identity politics and creating more pronouns than any meaningful policy.

A politician who actually follows through on what he says. A rare breed. Polling higher than Obama ever did in the lead up to a midterm. You won’t see that reported though.

Do you need to be reminded how highly a few European dictators polled?

That's the thing about populism - it can be very popular.

    I used to hate him.
When I heard he was running for president I thought it was a joke.
Then when I saw how much he drove the left insane and the entertainment value in him, I started to like him a bit.

Now I like him more and more as the charade continues and the left just double down on their Trump is a fascist nonsense.

Trumps approval with blacks is 40% or so. Most people vote with their pockets.
