Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The big difference between that horrible person you mention and Leo is that Leo is a good person and knows what he is doing so did not deserve it. That other person do did deserve it because he is just a horrible nasty person and I am glad he does not get any airtime anymore. Thankfully I would just skip by a horrible person like that anyway because I am able too.

I doubt Farage cares of your opinion of him, but it is pretty hypocritical to say he deserved it. You don't actually know Farage or Varadkar to say they are a horrible or good person, just their public political persona.

And Farage gets plenty of airtime still in Britain. He had a national radio show until July on LBC.

Given how common acid attacks are becoming in the UK (and to a lesser extent Ireland to be fair), throwing any liquid at a person needs to be dealt with extremely seriously.

It could very well be psychologically damaging for the victim as they wouldn't know for some time what had been thrown.

Here's another from a woke left Author. These types are in the majority on Irish twitter:

Being progressive now is nearly a class thing.

Nearly always middle class but the overriding sense that they alone are holy righteous and good and all others are sinners, vulgar proles.

100%. At best, you could say she's probably too stupid to realise how traumatic that experience could be.

While I'd agree on Varadkar, Farage on the other hand made his career out of hate speech. So when that's the the political persona that you choose to adopt, it's fair to view him as a horrible person.

Could have been anything in that cup, water, acid, urine, covid laced liquid, excrement.
I don’t care about anyone’s political persuasions, nothing justifies doing this to anyone.
I hope we see a Leo’s law to make attacks like these punished harshly.

I think they epitomise the pathetic man-child/woman-child that society seems to be churning out more & more these days.

Most are probably close in age to me so I feel comfortable saying it - middle class upbringing, never had a job in school or college, half arsed leaving cert, doing any degree they could get into in college just to stop themselves from having to be a grown up.

The cohort of society who dont think they are an adult & dont really behave like one until they are 30 yet are baffled that they dont have a house or a high paying job by 30.

The kind that will put up posts on twitter about wearing masks & put up facebook frames about nurses but have a house party with 40 people cos they have to live.

Essentially idiotic, childish, underachieving, hypocritical goons.

Thats what the skateboard means to me when I see a person of adult age (18 & over) with one

How has this so many thanks. Anti-skateboard. Jesus wept.

We are being absolutely destroyed left right and center by this government, everything is taken away from us while they party it up golfing breaking every last one of their rules, and you are outraged at coffee? Joke.

No, but it fits the profile. Probably wears a Che Guevara t-shirt. Occasionally has dreadlocks. Profile picture of a black square on Facebook. A tag line that say something like “Feminist. Activist. Human.”

I’d imagine her boyfriend is someone who tells you the wonders of socialism whilst sitting in a tent at an Indy music festival, sniffing ketamine off of a cracked IPhone 5 screen.

They still don't justify doing it so it's not exactly s horrifying statement. Meanwhile you actively downplayed an attack where a person ended up with stitches in their head. So your rhetoric it's coming across far worse.

I'm not overly concerned about your interpretation or opinion to be honest Protonmike.

I'd rather discuss this incident and the reaction around it.
    Thanks

I'm well over 40 and skate all the time, been doing so since I was 6.

The sad thing about this girl is I'd bet she couldn't ride that thing for 5 ft without milling herself.

Especially with the way she runs, not a hope can she skate.

    Pure poser.

No, because this type of thing is encouraged by those dickless lunatics known as the Connolly Youth Movement.

You want a prison sentence for someone throwing coffee on someone else. What if someone threw coffee over you, do you think they’d go to prison.

Scalding Coffee is capable of scarring someone for life.

Please answer me, if someone threw coffee at you and it scarred you for life, would you be happy if they avoided a prison sentence?

Right, so why then do some of us spend 4-8 years of our lives fighting for a degree? If it's all for nothing, all a complete waste of **** time (it is indeed, it's not a question) then the government that defends the university institutions in Ireland need a hell of a lot worse than coffee thrown in their face. The fault is not with young people fresh out of school who get fooled and caught in nets of lies, the problem is with vultures and thieves in academia who then are defended and directly supported by the government.

What a f**king stupid post. Were Varadker or Martin at that golfing break? Did they pressure those who were there to resign their positions?

Yeah, we're all having to sacrifice a bit at the moment. Some more than others and a lot more than me. You'd be fairly dumb to think that they are doing it in anything other than what they believe to be best for the country though.

You may disagree with their decisions, that's fair enough. But inferring they're making them to control us while they're off playing golf is just ignorant.

Absolute scumbag. The era of "it's ok to physically assault people we don't agree with" is beyond f*cked up. I hope she gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, but I have little faith in that happening when you consider the literal rapists and violent burglars who get suspended sentences in this country...

Because we have the freedom to make our own choices. What you think that we should only offer regimented college courses which are useful to the job market?

I’ve a feeling you did a degree that’s not very useful and now you’re sour about it. Try springboard, they offer ICT conversion courses to make job seekers more attractive to prospective employers.
