Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, just wondering if someone can recommend a set of resistance bands for a relatively unfit 42 year old male. Ideally would like to buy something that includes bands that cater to different levels so I dont have to go purchase again. All opinions welcome...

Should have mentioned mainly for arms, chest and shoulders.

You can get good quality bands at D8Fitness

I'd start with this red band. The black one is the next up. Then purple, then green. Can buy the four as a set as well.

You could start with red and black and see how you go and then look at going up as needs be.

McSport worth checking out too. I’ve the red and black and that’s all I need for now. You don’t need loads of them, black and red should see you sorted for most exercises. https://www.mcsport.ie/products/hit-fitness-power-band-beginners-pack-hitpack10

Anyone got recommendations for exercises with bands?
Thinking more upper body and core. Seems to be loads of examples online so trying to figure out whats best.
Or a good website would help too.

    Cheers all.

This might be of some use.

Just off the top of my head, and some may be included in there, I've been using them for added resistance on push ups, single-arm overhead press, face pulls, tricep pressdowns, shrugs, rows, band pull aparts, lateral raises, curls, Pallof press, banded core rotation.
