Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is eerily similar to Leinster's first game against Munster. Our lineout is malfunctioning and we're struggling under the high ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,862 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

    Poor from Ulster.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

If Leinster don't sort their line out, they'll give Ulster a shot to win this (a bigger one) and deservedly so. Seems to be a total breakdown in communication and uncertainty on calls.

Dorris has been superb again so far.

    Some read by Ringrose.

Surely that was high from McCloskey there, had Ringrose by the neck

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

    Some read by Ringrose.

Partly a good read and partly indecision from Ulster. I don't think that was the man he expected to be hitting!

Second Ulster infringement at the lineout. Maybe should have gone to the line again and eke another pen and possibly a card.

It's a final. You don't turn down points in front of the sticks when it's 7-5.

And your line out has been a bit of a lottery

Alby being a bollocks. Good to see.

    Brace giving them a lifetime

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Fierce habit in Ulster of turning down kickable pens.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,228 ✭✭✭A-Train

Very poor from Kelleher again in the lineout

    TG4 picture gone to fcuk.

He's 14 years younger than me but I still hope I'm as tough as Andrew Porter when I grow up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,228 ✭✭✭A-Train

    Great turnover from Porter

You'd need 14 years in the tattooing parlour to catch up with him!!

Yup. Massive system problems but no doubt that at least 2, if not 3, have been throwing issues.

And Doris spills one. The confidence in the line out is shot.

Edit: on replay, throw wasn't on the money again.

Two balls went threw the hands of the jumper.

    One really poor throw too

What the fúck is going on with our lineout.

Leinster lineout looking very similar to the struggles against Munster in the season re-opener.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭crisco10

So decent throw that time but dorris fails to catch uncontensted.system failure...ugh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,210 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Lineout is a huge problem. Can't build scores and can't clear our lines. We've handled Ulster well since the opening 10 but our errors are keeping them in this now.

That game we had Baird and Fardy to point at and say well neither of them call the lineout, but with Toner and Ryan both in this time it's inexcusable

Is anyone else’s tg4 all jittery?

Doris should have taken it but throw was mediocre. Asking him to take it at very limit of his jump.

    Ulster running out of ideas.

Struggling to watch. Even the streams are ****e.

    Shocking for a final.

Conan has conceded three pens not rolling away now.

    Conan being a bollocks...but I like that.

Doris is the best player on the pitch.

    Again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,862 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

    Can't keep doing this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,721 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Ulster have an awful habit of turning down points. They could be ahead going in to half time if they didn't keep turning down the shots at the post.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

    Terrible waste of position.

Ulster would be a really good side if their tactical decision making wasn't thick.

Every week since the return, they've turned down multiple straightforward penalties to go for the corner and failed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,228 ✭✭✭A-Train

Ulster need to be taking points when on offer

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Are Ulster allergic to taking 3 points or something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Burns having a shocker. Head is visibly gone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,210 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Don't think Burns has faith in his kicking.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

On a diplomatically positive note, Ryan and Henderson both looking very sharp despite their absences and recent surgeries.

Need to get to half time with this scoreline.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,721 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

You have to wonder if the trade off of Mathewson being in form and much snappier on the pitch but an outhalf who's only kicked 8 times this season from the tee will turn out to be the wrong call

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Mathewson hoofs the ball off and calls for a ventilator.

    Cracking game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,816 ✭✭✭Utah_Saint

I'm petrified every time Lowry takes it into contact.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,921 ✭✭✭KH25

Leinster need to sort the lineout at half time.
