Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To my therapist about the lockdown a few weeks ago. Don't think she got many words in but it felt pretty good.

Where would you fall on the introvert - extrovert scale?

Ive worked largely nights over the past few years, without social media i might not have even or forgotten about the global pandemic..

Whats are your top 3 go to activities to keep you sane at the moment??

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

I'm not being pushed to insanity by anything thankfully so I don't have any crutches. But lately I have taken a liking to watching Nuke's top 5 on YT which is pretty fringe stuff. We can only measure our sanity against those we view as less sane...

Many are calling the outrage by the general public over the Elliott photo as faux outrage. I think they are right to a degree but I see it more as push back against the lifting of a corner of the security blanket which is the cognitive dissonance around how animals are seen and treated in wider society. It reveals that things are not actually all hunky dory and ignorance is bliss. Would you agree?

Is there someone you would like to succeed MDH as president of Ireland?

    Michael O'Leary,
    MOL.

A foreign multinational you would buy shares in if you had any spare shekels but must be something like an airline or manufacturer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

That's almost as awkward as my question. I won't skip it though.
Manufacturer... of logistics programs to control automated robotics processes e.g. warehouse, or airport baggage systems. Cognex.

Where's the strangest place abroad that you unexpectedly experienced a slice of home?

Galway - they had brennan's bread. Well I was just blown away.

Would you like to live in a boat?

Yes, in a freshwater environment or the big lake in the north of Ireland. Charlie Haughey liked it too.

Do you actually use any advertised service like Grammarly, or other products advertised in YouTUbe videos?

I almost try to avoid any product that is advertised on youtube. I know that they need to make money and all but it's so annoying that the adverts pop up in the middle of the 4 minute video you are trying to watch.

When did you last kick a football?

Did you use a television that did not have it's own remote, and you had to go to the tv to change the channel?

Do you know that there is an add-on for the firefox desktop ( i.e. lappy ) browser that blocks out pesky ads from youtube ?

Depends if your looking for calm or adventure
Depends if your going in your own transport.

What’s the worst journey you’ve had to make in Ireland.

Got an early bird train to Dublin one monday morning after been out partying all night. Toilets were broken on the train. It was not pleasant.

Have you ever stayed in a traditional B&B?

Why are crisps so expensive in this country ?

    ( e.g. https://www.productosmercado.com/2019/01/patatas-fritas-onduladas-hacendado-mercadona.html - IIRC under 60c for a bag 180gm and they are gluten free - so I get to eat some :) )

Do you think the City Centre has calmed itself much with less traffic due to restrictions (tourists, clubbers, pubbers)
