Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure what size box the After Eights are on sale in Lidl tomorrow but Iceland had the 300g boxes this week for €2. I think the normal box might be 200g but I am not 100% sure, seemed like a bigger box to me anyway.

Tesco have 3 tubes of Smarties, Jelly Tots, Rolo's, Drumsticks etc for €3 this weekend too, I saw them earlier when I picked up some of the 5 for €5 Pringles offer. Nice stocking filler.

That Lidl ad is misleading, it's 3 for 10 but only for the same brand (i.e 3 of the Ferrero products OR 3 of the Cadbury products etc. you can't mix and match).

obviously regular size tubs. The prices have gone up all around again so its about the best you can expect.

I feel sorry for anyone who missed out but it is still a useful post to some who have none yet. Think they are all 4.95 in tesco now.

My wife picked up 3 for 10 on quality street tubs yesterday in Lidl. It was the end of their stock and was only at the till.

OT: Is there a thread for the biscuits? I need to get a few tins..

Regular size tubs of Quality Street and more for €3.99 in Aldi. Got some today.

Tubs, and maybe Dunnes is the local supermarket for some and they can’t get the €3.99 ones in Aldi.

The bitchiness in bargain alert threads is getting toxic, meow :)

    Happy Christmas everyone

Nope went today and tried to buy Milk Tray, QS, and FR and it came to €20 or something, asked the till assistant and she brought me over and explained to me (big queue behind me as well, I was mortified:mad:)

That's ridiculous - they should not be advertising it as mix and match then. Thanks for the heads up!

QS are not in the offer though I don't think... maybe that was the problem?

quality street tubs were 2.47 in tesco (ballybrack). Pouches of celebrations (about 450g) were 3euro.

lots of other reductions but a lot of stuff was overpriced to begin with.

  • Registered Users Posts: 159 ✭✭BobCobb

Big boxes of Milk Tray (530g) are only 4 euro in Tesco, seemingly at this price until the 8th of March. There were 3 or 4 boxes left in Tesco in Wilton, Cork.
They weren't marked as being at that price on the shelf, but they are on their website.

People will get them in for halloween, sure they are on sale all year round in various sizes. The christmas selection boxes are really only specifically for christmas.

Some tubs are lighter this year.

Celebrations Tub 650G (were the same)
Caddbury Heroes 600G Tub (were 660g)
Cadbury Roses 600G Tub (seems it was 660g)
Quality Street Tub 650G (were 720g)

    Heroes are 6 in supervalu

Tescos have the following at the moment.

    Quality Street 698g €4.00
    Celebrations 650g €4.00
    Heroes 660g €4.95
    Roses 660g €4.95
So I am not sure about the weights I mentioned, I was looking at the images. Problem is they can give overall weight or chocolate weight, this years QS is 629g of chocolate

Got them in Tesco Newry- and Sainsburys had some varieties (not all) at the same price.

    Some online offers:

    Tesco @ £3.50 for Celebrations
Tesco @ £3.50 for Quality Street
    Tesco @ £3.50 for Roses

They had them at 2 for £5 instore.

I have no idea about Asda (I wasn't in there).

Sainsburys (Newry again) had a pallet of Celebrations just inside the door- at the same price (£3.50 each or 2 for £5). They don't seem to have them up on their website (at all- just the smaller boxes).

I bought these last Saturday morning (in Tesco Newry).
