I was in Dunnes Saturday night & the 2 for €10 was back on

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,868 ✭✭✭matchthis

In there tonight and was on. 2 for €10 mix and match. Roses, celebrations and quality street. Also had tins of cadburys biscuits too. This was in newbridge, Kildare.

It might only be on the market for Halloween but if it's still their for Christmas. This is €5 at Tesco now but please note on the rear of the box it says that all items that are displayed may not be included.

Tesco's is the place to be so. Enjoy!

The tubs seem a bit miserly in size though ... oh God ... it finally happened, I'm officially old :(

Can you get tins of sweets anymore? So sick of these cheap plastic tubs.

Sure you can- however, you'll pay for them.
A 1.4kg tin of Quality Street is currently 12.99 in Tesco (and I haven't seen any other ones).

You can get the tins- but they've only limited stocks of them- and they are vastly more expensive than the plastic tubs.

those dates are over and prices have changed

Roses, QS & celebrations are now 6.50 till 17/10

    Heroes are 5.

I was thinking heroes had the fewest "duds" which are left over, QS have crappy toffees. But looking now Heroes have 3 plain chocolate, dairy milk, twirl & wispa. Now a small wispa might be nice, but no need for 3 basic chocolate ones. Eclairs are also a bit boring and "toothpullers".

I know many are put off by celebrations as they have what some consider "duds", the bounty, which I love. But at least they do not have 3 which are basically just plain chocolate.

Yep, Qstreet and celebrations too. There are often only some on offer though, or sometimes all on offer but different prices.

I see roses are seemingly not in twisty wrappers anymore.

According to the net they are €4.95 until the 28th. The OP's store might have put the offer out early!

QS 600g jars are also 4euro in tesco, some might value the jar a bit more than the added sweets in the tub. Can be quite useful.
