Biden wins by a majority - there will be some unrest and calls of a conspiracy from the right, but it will settle down eventually and Trump will leave office peacefully whilst shouting crazy things. If the Senate also turns blue, expect Trump and McConnell to push everything they can through in the remaining time. If the Senate stays red, expect McConnell to throw a hissy fit as he did with Obama and refuse to cooperate with the incoming administration.

Biden wins by a small amount - there will be recounts and attempts from the Trump administration to overturn the election results. Tension in the country will be very high. If the Senate also swings to Dem, expect a push from Trump/McConnel's Senate in the final months to get legislation through before the turnover. They will take a scorched earth mindset to the change of power. If this the Dems take the presidency and the Senate by narrow amount, this is the scenario that may result in the most violence. Antifa and left wing protestors are not as organized or as armed as some of these right wing militias and the latter will not take a shift of power of this magnitude well. And if Trump is successful in having the election results overturned, there will be calls for secession from blue states.

Trump wins by a small amount and again fails to win the popular vote - there will be demands by the Democrats for a recount and they'll try to overturn the election results. As with Biden winning by a small amount, the potential for violence is high. There may be secession calls depending on how close it ends up being. Depending on how the Senate races go, the Senate may try to do some final push on legislation should the Republicans lose the majority there & have Trump facing a Democrat House and Senate, further increasing the tension. If - somehow - the election results are overturned, there will be violence from the right wing and that may end up being a divide that cannot be fixed. It is highly unlikely though, that Biden would be able to overturn election results in favor of Trump. Long-term, this is the worst option for the country as minority rule only breeds political instability and when a president wins two terms without the popular vote, that can only be considered minority rule.

Trump wins by a landslide - this would be a huge blow to the Democrats both politically and in terms of morale. It's also the most unlikely scenario.
