Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Guys- pretty much every company charges when you change your documents (for whatever reason). Its4women.ie are far from alone in this respect. I would strongly suggest people not make an assumption that they're the cheapest though- or that Blue are cheap, or liberty- you really need to shop around. At the moment my cheapest quote is with FBD- who are over 200 cheaper than its4women- and the next cheapest I can find is Aviva.

Shop around- and don't make assumptions- you'd be crazy not to when you can potentially save hundreds.

Agreed, every company is different for everyone

I tried Liberty last night €1500 more than double what I am paying 25plus this year and it’s4women last year Liberty can feck right off

First time ever Liberty have been the cheapest, from most expensive last year. Never fun getting car or house insurance.

The reason it’s 4 women and 25 plus are cheap is because you have an online portal to do everything yourself and therefore shouldn’t need to call someone, uploading documents and adjusting policies couldn’t be easier.
I had a query 2 years ago that I couldn’t find the answer to online and they called me back within the hour and were extremely helpful.

I flip between its4women and 25plus every year and avail of new customer discount and also use tbe discount code, they are the same company or sister companies.

This is my situation too. I move between the 2, they are always the cheapest by a mile and if you can upload your documents on their portal you don't need to talk to anyone. I did have to amend something with 25plus about 3 years ago and they called me the same day, was no hassle.

    Code still works.

I moved from I4W to 25 plus this summer and insured my wifes car on I4W. €500 cheaper than her renewal with 123.ie where she had a years NCB.

I was with AnPost@AIG a few years and temporary drivers and temporary vehicle subs were all free. Unfortunately the circumstances have changed and they don't quote me anymore...

Same here. I have been with them for a few years now and discount also applies to current customers.

I would avoid them like the plague. My wife is currently getting insurance with them. She is saying never again.

    - No phone line to call. They only do outgoing calls.
    - Any adjustment to the policy costs 10 Euro
    - They are very anal when documents and scans etc. Often they ask about this after the policy has started which is the case with my wife.
    - PhotoScan by Google Photos should be used to scan you documents so there is no glare on them.

    https://www.its4women.ie/news/contacting-its4women.aspx

"Telephone – At its4women we do not believe you should live your life “on hold” and as an online company we do not take any incoming phone calls. If you would like to speak to one of our advisers, simply follow the options on the phone and to save you holding just key in your telephone number on your keypad and we will contact you"
Been with them in some form for 2 years.

    They also own 25plus.

They just took my Doc's from i4w and applied them to this year's 25plud policy.

My wife moved from 123.ie to i4w. They needed all our docs and pulled them from what they had for my policy on 25plus when asked to.

    Quick to respond to messages.

They were 650 cheaper for my wife than a renewal with 123 who has 1 year NCB.

If you don’t pay in full they charge a crazy rate for monthly payments..

Did you try a new policy with 123?

The interest isn’t that much, I paid monthly once and it was only €50 extra on an €800 policy
I think it’s with close brothers finance

    Read below,
You are paying 25% up front then 9 monthly instalments. But the 10% is calculated over the year.
So out of 800 you pay 200.
You then pay 600 over 9 months that costs costs 50..
In my case I was better off with a quote that was 126 euro seater but didn’t charge extra to pay monthly.

Your premium will be collected by 9 monthly instalments in addition to a 25% deposit due now by credit/debit card. The rate of interest is 10%. Minimum credit charges apply. You will be required to provide proof of your identity when applying for finance.

When I paid monthly it was about 6 years ago and I didn’t pay 25% up front, the finance cost to me was only €50 extra, I don’t bother with the monthly anymore maybe things have changed with regard to the finance

    Code IRADIO for €60 off

This nonsense with flash sales and discount codes is just proof of how much we are being screwed the rest of the time.

    Scrap the cap!

Heads up - both code LQ456 and code IRADIO still work, but you get a bigger discount with IRADIO.

I get a discount of about €40 with the former and of about €60-70 with the latter.

Heard an advert on todayfm giving €60 off if you use the code TODAYFM..

Have been with its4women for years and always found they gave most competitive quotes.

My current policy is up for renewal at the end of this month - I was sent a renewal notice looking for €469 to renew. I decided to chance my arm and input all my details onto their quote calculator to see if there was any difference and was given a quote of €378 for the exact same level of cover, comprehensive xtra. My address, car, additional driver etc. have not changed. I then applied the code that the previous poster provided (TODAYFM) and that brought my new quote down to €318 - over €150 cheaper than my initial renewal quote from them!

I'm glad I took a few minutes to double check the renewal price given. Now I am trying to figure out if there are any Ts&Cs to stop me going ahead with renewing for €318. I don't know whether to ring them to ask them for the price I was quoted online or just pay for a new policy and let my old one lapse. I got the exact same renewal price (378) from 25plus.

Maybe send them a message asking them to match the price, see what they say.

my wife did what you did, got her renewal quote from IFW and then got a cheaper quote off them online, she just went and bought that policy online and let the other one expire. the only hassle she had was they kept emailing her looking for her no claims bonus, it took a few emails trying to explain that they already had her no claims bonus as she was already their customer. they didn't care when it finally clicked with them..

Yes they are but you can get a better discount as a new customer by switching, I flip between the two every time and contact them to price match and they always oblige and last time I mentioned a discount code as well as the cheaper quote but didn’t say what company

For 15% off Zurich online quotes use the code ZUROBS, got that on bonkers.ie

Anyone get a discount code for existing customers with IFW ? I tried one and it wasn't applied, now they are saying it was for new quotes only, but that's not what the instagram post said....

  • Registered Users Posts: 16 ellyU

Have you tried contacting their customer service? Maybe they can do something about it. The best option is to find them on social networks, they always answer quickly there. Additionally, you might want to check out promotional code websites like promocodius , which often offer discounts and deals that can help reduce your costs.

    Here's codes to try:

    TODAYFM for €60 off
    98FM for €60 off
    IRADIO for €60 off
    or LQ456 for €35 off

I've a Google sheet I use to shop around twice a year for the two cars, it might be useful to others too:

If anyone has any comments/feedback on it they can comment on the sheet or PM me and I'll update it.

Indeed....kind of rendered the initial business proposition somewhat redundant and the name somewhat misleading

I wonder if the name alone reduces the amount of male business ...

  • Registered Users Posts: 526 ✭✭✭chrisd2019

I am most definitely not a woman, and currently on my fourth session with them over the last 10 years or so. Have found them good for a year when my usual company gets greedy. Watch out though for the renewal quote as have found they not the cheapest then. Also their Comprehensive policy options need to be checked carefully to be sure you buying what you actually want. (the cheapest basic version has high excess and no windscreen cover)

It's an interesting strategy to adopt from the get go rather than just have one company and then maybe acquire competitors and keep the name their more niche market

I wonder what % of customers assume they are getting the best deal due at least in part the company name targeting their demographic.....must be worth a bit of extra business.....although you might be attracting a certain percentage of clients more likely to have accidents .....

been with them about 5 out of the last 7 or 8 years. Never any problems although I’ve never needed to claim etc.
