Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
Was wondering recently if anyone knows how accurate the altitudes given when you hold the cursor over a spot on google earth are?

Not even sure if this is on topic for geography but if anyone knows . . .?

I just checked an area near where i live that i measured the correct altitude with a GPS awhile back and I'm getting a difference of about 40m.

I think Google Earth is great to look at but the reliability of the data there isn't be considered accurate for anything important.

Somebody may be able to give a more accurate answer than this :)
