Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know, when I worked in directory enquiries it was always a confusing one.

"Can I've the number for Londis in Hospital"
    "ehhh sure, what hospital?"
"No it's in Hospital, in Limerick"
"Is that the main Limerick Hospital"
    "No it's a place in Limerick:mad:"
    "...........Wha'?"
    etc

I just couldn't believe it was a place

Also Castlefreke in Cork (pronounced Castlefreak)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

Pighead's favourite place name in Ireland is a beautiful little townland in Co. Louth called Mullacrew or Mullach Na Craoibhe. It means "Hill of the Trees". But here's the thing: There is a hill but there are absolutely no trees.

That's why it's Pighead's favourite place name. It has thought him that this world may be beautiful but it's full of lies.
