Sounds like it'll be another while before any announcement either way

Dont knw much about Cahill but that Tipp u21/u20 were playing pretty good and deserved AI champs. Whether that style would be good for senior is another story and with our squad

Thought they would have someone in place for the county semi finals next weekend

I’m hearing that Cahill the Tipp u20 manager has been interviewed this week for deise job.

Id be surprised if he took it if offered, and not hold on for the Tipp job if he thought it was coming in next year or 2. He’d be a shoe-in for it and Sheedy unlikely to commit long term. Let’s be honest the Waterford job is a bit of a gamble for any outsider given the noises coming out of camp this year

    Cahill was interviewd yesterday evening

Any of the decent candidates available won’t go near it because of the player power/outside influence problems associated with it.

To be fair there is no guarantee he would get the Tipp job. Tommy Dunne could get it ahead of him

Unless he does something to destroy his reputation i.e. a failed stint with Waterford then I can't see anyone else getting it. Heard he might be taking a break, been on the go 5 years I think between minor and u20/21

DJ stepped down. He'll hardly come down in our hour of need.
Might straighten a few players out. Couldnt see him staying for more than a year though.

Depends on how strong the Ballygunner panel at that level is

Am I right in saying the club is so big it has teams at every level in the Hurling championships in Waterford ??

That would be three teams. Mt Sion, DLS and Abbeyside also all have 3 teams.

Are players allowed move levels ???

Say a guy was stuck on the bench for the seniors, could he play for the Intermediates or juniors too ???

Once you play in championship in the calendar year a grade above you are no longer eligible to drop down. Players then have to be regraded by the club if they've played at a higher level to drop down for the following year.

All players are eligible to play in the County Senior leagues and remain playing for a clubs second or third team in championship.
