Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tk max can be good for that, or Debenhams nearly always have sets on special offer.

Anybody know where I can get a wind-up radio in the city as preparation for the next time the electricity goes down

Also an idea of the cost would be great

Maybe a camping shop, like the one on the Quay?

I'm looking for cheap...or free ... timber for making raised beds in my allotment. Any ideas where I could get my hands on some.

Go to the recycling place at the Sixcrossroads ind est. Wear strong shoes and heavy gloves (and preferably take someone to help you). If you call at the office they will give you a luminous vest and a hard hat. If you just go in no-one will pay any attention - you will be there at your own risk!. There is a bay for scrap timber, I saw a huge lorry load of pallets going in a couple of days ago. It is very hit and miss, you might get some really good stuff or it might just be rubbish, but its worth a look.

Thanks, that's brilliant. I'll give it a go. Where at the Sixcrossroads is the centre? Is it near the turn off from the ring road?

Its signposted, but turn off the ring road at the roundabout where the big stores are, take the left turn at the next roundabout, follow the road round to the right and its at the end on the left - Greenstar. Go round the back and you will see the sheds.

First place that springs to my mind is Michael Guineys, but that's just a suggestion, not fact!

Yep tried Heatons yesterday - they have ones for 8euro - includes the plastic and ribbons to go over it too - so that might save on costs. Will try Michael Guineys over the weekend. Thanks guys.

Hennebrys Photography on the Quay maybe? I'm not sure tbh, as I recently asked a photographer friend of mine about this and she sends hers to somewhere in Dublin.

Does anyone know where in the city I'd get one of these and how much could I expect to pay? It's a timer switch for the central heating.

Anybody know where I can get sheet timber in Waterford? Preferably Pine but anything with a nice grain pattern and finish - not laminate.
    8mm-10mm thick, maybe 12mm..
Tried woodies, homebase etc but all they seem to have is 16mm pine board and it's slightly too thick for what I'm using it for.
    Thanks everyone!

Does anyone know where in town (or Tramore) that sells Orangina? Particularly in the cool little round glass bottles if possible!

They don't always have them but I've seen them in Dunphy's on Manor Road recently enough. It's the kind of place that will have random, unusual stock for a few weeks.

Edit: Was there today, they didn't seem to have any left. Sorry :(

I've gotten it in Supervalu (formerly Superquinn) on the Old Tramore Road. They have a health food/gluten free/protein powder section in the middle of the shop. Their stock of the vegan section is fairly poor though. I wouldn't bank on it being there but if you're from town, it's not as far as Ardkeen.

We got those about a year ago in Heatons. JML does them I think so wherever JML have a decent range I'd say you'll have a good chance of finding them!

Went in twice the last week but no luck with the Orangina, the girl there wasn't sure when they'd be in! I did find some in the Applegreen garage at Passage Cross though! Not in glass bottles unfortunately, but in funky 420ml contour bottles for €1 ea. :)

Sorry about that. I was in Dunphy's today and they have them back! But in the new bottles. I've seen them in a few other places since because they launched the new bottles.

Big or small? Ardkeen Stores often has lots of cardboard boxes, just after the checkouts. Some are small, but you might find bigger ones. Or ask them, I'm sure they'd help.
