I can imagine Cathering Fulvio bouncing in to the studio, only to receive a grilling herself..

Can you imagine.
Sean O'Rourke: "And how long do I leave that in the oven for?"
Fulvio: "you leave it in the oven for twenty minutes".
Sean O'Rourke: "But on a TV3 demonstration on Aug4th 2012, you said that it should be left in the over for fifteen minutes. Have you changed your position on this?"

Sean actually came eerily close to this exchange in a piece with Kevin Dundon on Friday.

Newstalk stuck Pat Kenny Posters around Dublin. Looks like O'Rourke plans to respond by sticking Gilmore's head on a pike outside RTE's front gate.

It struck me as odd that he be given an opportunity to comment on Gilmore's interview after Gilmore had finished.

It was unbalanced, because O'Rourke had subjected Gilmore to challenging (even adversarial) treatment, so nothing else was required.

Who makes the editorial decisions?

Because of this post I podcasted the "Second Captains" segment of the show just to hear what he had said.

He said that lads had moved from another station "Who we don't need to mention because there are so many posters up for it at the moment it's like Pyonyang".

Then, referring to Trappatoni's salary he reminded us how part of his salary was "coming from other places".

And finally, at the end of the segment, when referring to the lads moving from Newstalk to RTE (television) he said "nice to see some traffic coming the other way".

Way to go Sean!

(Mind you, for that last comment he has obviously forgotten about Conor Brophy, someone called Claire Byrne and Willie O'Reilly who moved from Donnybrook to Marconi House and back again).

Right I just listened to todays programme, no Paddy at the prison gates, no MLOD, no banjo bothering, but the flipping Kennedys on again. Its been a dull listen.

Forget the minimum wage, ask Patricia King about the wages of their chief executive, who earns multiples of the working class people he purports to represent. Surely a true socialist should only take the average wage of his members.. The hypocrisy of their leaders asking for "cuts to the wealthy", when they themselves are wealthier than most capitalists..
