    Whitney Houston - music lessons at school were all about the Whitney Houston songs.

    New Order - love both but New Order just takes it
    Tears For Fears - apart from the singles, I wasn't mad about Tracy Chapman's debut
    Metallica - love them and can't stand Whitney Houston

    I won't vote on the last match-up as I don't like reo speedwagon and not familiar with the Christians

    Gonna go with Dolly for her Dollies as I'm not the greatest fan of Madness, and we need some different artists advancing

    REM - Flipper are great (I did nominate them after all) but I have to pick REM. The 80's was their best era
    Bruce Springsteen - Not particularly keen on Status Quo but I enjoy a lot of The Boss' work
    Dolly Parton - Not a fan of Madness but I'll occasionally listen to a bit of Dolly
    The Police - They have some good tunes and I'm not big on John Mellencamp

    REM - because I don’t know flipper but listening to my first song of theirs “hahaha” and they’re a bit out there but in a good way :D

    Status Quo - Francis Rossi’s dad ran my local ice cream parlour. It was the business! Proper Italian ice cream.

    Madness - Gotta be the nutty boys. My mum bought saucepans off the aunty of one of the boys back in the 80s and the saucepans are still in working order to this day just like Madness

    The Police - brilliant.

    The Pixies great band and never heard of the other so no contest

    Fleetwood Mac fantastic band. Journey don’t have a chance against them.

    The Smiths Loved em back in the day and love em still. Wham better be in here though.

    The Cure oh I liked Adam and the ants but not half as much as I like the cure
