Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    That's incredible. Automatic win to the Scarlets.

    The tournament is a farce and the clubs are treating it accordingly.

    The quarter finals may be made up of the teams who have managed to avoid falling foul of the negative impacts of Covid.

    It's interesting to note that Toulon are refusing to play the game due to Scarlets having a positive test.

    In October, Toulon themselves had a positive case in their squad and went ahead with their game against Montpellier that weekend. I suspect that Toulon would go ahead with this game if it was the T14 or perhaps even it was being played in Toulon.

    When it comes to TV revenue, then yes, it would be very different.

    A round of 16 knock-out would have 15 games in total.
    In this format (however bad it is) there are 55 games scheduled.

    BT will be mightily peed off.

    From a competition that was a farce to being with, from a meritocracy point of view... It's just laughable now.

    The whole point was to play games for TV revenue, and now you have teams just flat out refusing to play..... Caused by different covid regs in different countries.

    Looks to me like Toulon did the right thing.
    The classification of Scarlets players not being close contacts is baffling and Toulon are not putting their players and club at risk because of it.

    What’s the bets the Scarlets announce more positive cases in the next week.

    They expanded it to suit the French agenda when logic said run something that wasn't across two thirds of the clubs in Europe

    I don’t see it as being a shambles, it’s not the tried and tested format but they are making the best of a bad situation.

    I think the BP win 28-0 is incredibly harsh, but themes the rules.

    He was too high but a 5'9" player was crouching down against a 6'3" centre. I don't take much issue with the call but I disagree with the no mitigation comment from Brace. Insufficient mitigation perhaps.

    8 pools of 3 was the most obvious way of doing 24 teams on a meritocracy basis.

    Forget about the ban on inter league games, and just select from the 6 tier 1-4.... Would make for tastier groups where you could have 2 tier 2 teams in the one group.

    It is essentially 8 groups of 3, but the ‘convoluted’ format plays down the advantage of some teams having a simple group. It means there will be something to play for for more teams come the last round.

    I have the match on now without sound, I don't think that was a penalty but he was staring at a clear knock on and didn't give it? What? What was his reasoning?

    Yet the BT commentators would have you believe wasps are contenders to win the competition.

    Some teams already giving up going by team selections
    A rake of games called off also affecting domestic games
    Toulon travel to Wales then decide they ain't playing.

    i would fancy Connacht against Wasps and we’re supposed to believe that the GP is a massively superior league to the Pro14.
