Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,

My name is Brian Hughes, I'm an ex outbard marine engineer with 48 years in the business (finally retired!!)

I'd love to pass on my years of knowledge and experience and have recently connected with the Irish National Sailing School. We will be starting an outbound engine maintenance course on March 2nd at the Sailing school facility at West Pier Dun Laoghaire - I wanted to link the details here in case any budding marine enthusiasts would be interested in enrolling!

Some of what will be covered:

    - An introduction into how an outboard engine works, and some practical run through of smaller and larger outboards in the workshop
    - An evaluation of the most common, preventable problems that occur and what can be done to extend the engine's lifespan
    - We will also cover end of season maintenance

If interested, just call the Sailing School: 01 2844195 or email sailing @ inss.ie to book a spot.

And if anyone has any questions about it or wants more information, don't hesitate to drop me a PM! :)
