Examples Breeno....... examples that stand up to scrutiny.

Like ,not lads who fill the suit.

Good lad.... the Brenner will own up if wrong.

Just gently trolling you, Brenner. You sometimes give the impression that you think that anyone who disagrees with, or challenges or makes fun of Fine Gael must, ipso facto, be a Sinn Fein supporter.

No Brian that’s not the case, and I’ll take your criticism on board.

I can see how you might get that impression, but for me there is a lot of negativity out there and I try to be on the side of those who are working to achieve something positive for the electorate.

I like to think that if proved wrong I would hold up my hands and admit it, as I also think I do.

I will take a look at my posting style and based on the threads I am on will always look positively on genuine criticism from genuine posters like your good self.

A pint of plain is your only man.

You’d wonder; is John a Guinness or Beamish man?

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

Pint of Guinness is grand but you can't beat the real thing.

I enjoyed the story about the Dagenham Yanks tonight. Often wondered where they got the name.

Neil Toibin used to say, 'A Dublin man is a complex mechanism designed to turn Guinness into pi$$. But as any Corkman would tell you, "That's only a superfluous exercise anyway".'.

One of the few live shows on RTÉ today. But definitely one of the best of the year.

After another year I wonder could the thread title be changed? Seven years is a long time to become a fan of John Creedon.

He'll have a few new fans after today. I only caught the last half hour. Lovely stuff.

And he’s on tonight, 10pm until 1am tomorrow morning.

I really like his easy style, his knowledge and on top of that, he’s easy to relate to. Now there’s a man with talent. Proper talent, I mean

Maybe we should run a poll to come up with the title!

    As OP, I'll start with

"Do yourself a favour, start listening to The John Creedon Show"

Ah, Santana. Covid robbed me of the opportunity to see him. Bloody virus!

‘Deserter’s Songs’ by Mercury Rev - absolute masterpiece :)

Ah, The Byrd’s. Takes me right back to my youth. One of the guys in my year was a complete Byrd’s aficionado. And he could draw their “logo” to perfection. On every single one of his books.

    Respect

    :)

Fingers crossed! (I’m also holding my thumbs as well, like they say in Sweden:) ). I’ve not seen him live yet.

Couple of great Joe Walsh classics there. Are there many better guitar riffs than Lifes Been Good? Love that "Analogue Man" too. Pretty sure he wrote that about me.

John was in good form introducing Analogue man alright!

Really liked that Beverly Glenn Copeland track. Never heard of her before, though have a vague recollection of john playing that track recently enough. Another intriguing act i will have to go and check out!
