Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lovely day out, don’t mind me parking in a disabled bay so me * my misses can have a fag outside the car… Definitely did not have a badge or someone with a disability, hidden or not…

    Empty car park, still missed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 194 ✭✭[Steve]

Almost but not quite for these two in Waterford.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,897 ✭✭✭BronsonTB

Tesco car park, Swinford, Co Mayo

Green car droive around a few min to find his 'spot' (And 7 other disabled bays were all empty when he finally stopped)

BMW - no badge but northern so they do as they please anyway.

Alot also park in the parent/toddler bays (Lone drivers)

Ignorance is alive & well in Swinford.

Managed to drive 250 km from Tyrone to Wicklow.. Couldn't quite make the last 5m to a non-disabled parking space. 🤦‍♂️

Ballyvolane again. This driver is parking as they mean to go on!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,897 ✭✭✭BronsonTB

    McDonalds, Sligo

Driver couldn't decide which spot to take so took both (Ignorant Driver - no badge either)

Obviously some history there as there was a note in the car window

    🤣🤣🤣

Another fine example in Waterford city.

At the Forty Foot, because leaving the disabled parking bay clear would have been just too hard.

Got 4 spaces you like the look of?

Cant decide which one suits best?

    Do this:

(to be fair that part of the car park wasn’t busy)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,478 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Stupid architects didn’t put a space for you right outside the door?

    make your own, it’s grand.

It's a decent sized carpark, also a busy one. Car beside it not parked very well but 😁

3 for the price of 1 in Waterford.

Kia parked over the hatching, Honda and Toyota in front of it both parked over 2 spaces

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 7,365 Mod ✭✭✭✭HildaOgdenx

This took a lot of manoeuvring. It came along by my car just after I had parked, drove into the row in front of the one I was in, and there it is.

I am not sure what they were aiming for but it definitely was not to get between the white lines. 😂

Got a critical business meeting in Lidl? No spaces provided outside the door for a person as important as you?

Park on a junction, nobody’s using it on a Sunday, bonus points if you can combine this with parking on a pedestrian crossing.

The Astra driver has decided that double yellow lines do not apply to them, and tough luck to anyone in a wheelchair or pushing a buggy.

The Audi driver might be related, as they too have no regard for road markings and parked in a yellow box, cutting off pathway access to the waterfront.

Must’ve been in a rush to get into Tesco - Waterford.

  • Registered Users Posts: 980 ✭✭✭harmless

BINGO, the focus always ensures that it will be difficult for even a single pedestrian to pass.

    And near by

This one will be full to capacity with cars by tonight and every night.

Car park is mostly empty. Let's have a game of "take 2 spaces each".

    SV Carpark Tuam

Ah sure most of it is in? Right?

Despite there being loads of spaces I'll stick it here and to hell with those on my left trying to reverse out

This couple parked in front of me while I sat in my car - no amount of looking at them with an awkward face tipped him off to their bad parking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 194 ✭✭[Steve]

2 VWs sticking out into the lane and a sideways Peugeot all in a set down only spot.

    Trifecta of awful parking.

Aldi car park. Only got the front view but almost half of the car is in the aisle. 🤔🙄

Follow the way of the barrier, markings be damned.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,211 ✭✭✭✭Grandeeod

    It's almost becoming normal!

  • Registered Users Posts: 43 spaced

McDonalds in Naas. I was in the Drive-Thru and those 3 spaces were empty when they parked just a couple of minutes apart.

(the bad parking was not caused by other bad parking - it was all them)

Not 1, nor 2, nor 3, but 4 spaces taken up by this clown at a busy Tesco Newcastle West

No blue badge, plenty of spaces around, couldn’t even get it in the bay.

Parking on double yellow line cars had to squeeze past as it's narrow street
