Frequent passing showers in a brisk cold NW'ly wind here near Tralee.

Some sunny spells doing little to add any warmth, 7.0C, wind 10 min avg 23 kph, recent gust 51 kph, wind chill 3C. Out doing a few jobs around the place earlier, feeling raw in the wind.

Still no air frost here; temp fell to 1.2 last night and there was an extensive grass frost but then it clouded over. Cloudless sunny since dawn and temp now 5.2C.

The Gods are looking after the Leopardstown Races it would seem.

Looks like tonight will be the last chance in a while to get a nice ground-hardening frost - no sub-zero in December is pretty rare here; we even had a -1C in November.

All surfaces white again this morning lovely winter sun again. Temperature dropped below freezing again after dark last night, but since midnight , low was 0.9. Wish this weather would last.

6.5C, clear, sunny, light breeze and the ground still white on the footpaths and car park surfaces out of direct sunlight!

Lowest last night just zero at dawn, though it had been windy and +5C for a short while near midnight.

Amazing how the hoar frost on the ground survived all that...

No where near any frost here on the North Kerry coast, low of just 4.9C. Got up to 10.3C and just back to 9.9C now.

Getting increasingly windy and cloudy as the day goes on . 10 min avg 14 kph S , gust 37 kph ( some nice Lenticular clouds earlier when the wind was steady. )
