Jesus they've all come out of the woodwork for this thread! I don't recognise 90% of the repliers.

Me, I just liked the thoughts of a whirlpool. I don't like my username, I'd like it to be different.

I thought you were named after a popular brand of white goods.

I used to get dragged to to bingo sometimes with my Nana when I was a kid and the caller used to say something like all the legs, legs eleven and everybody would wolf whistle.

    That's because they were paedophiles.

Were these bingo sessions held in a church hall by any chance?

My surname (Which I'm predominantly called by) resulted in a lot of jokes since Buffy first appeared on Irish TV. Seemed as good a name as any.

Mine is from an old chat room nickname, but that in turn came from what my teenage friends used to call me. I like it, though would prefer if it didn't have the 1976

Was nearly Sir Loin of Beef.

I think yours is the best username on Boards.

Mine comes from overhearing two kids who live next door to me playing some secret agent game. One kept saying:
    "Roger, 007.......over and out"

Was reading about an Impala at the time
Though if I left it at Impala people might think I was into cars a lot
Looked to the right of the letter I on the keyboard and the rest is history

One of Dara O'Briain's routines involves a joke about a serial killer called "The Pheasant" whose calling card is to leave an item of the victims clothes folded into a bird shape - thought it was pretty funny, ran with that.

The 2 is because I got locked out of the original "The Pheasant" account...don't like it though, would pay to change it but not bothered setting up a paypal.

Used it on a forum previous to this. Was derived from Red XIII from FF7 but that was taken on the original site, so I've been going by RedXIV for everywhere else

Myself and my friend used to interrupt each other randomly when either of us was in bad form and say 'You're so pretty!'.
Much and all as I'd like to believe it is an actual reference to my beauty, it ain't so. :)

The word "tourniquet" popped into my head when registering, no idea why. I think tourniquet was taken, hence the alternative spelling.
