It's gonna be a long summer, season finishes tomorrow and I thought I'd have the freezer full by now.

I think the only time I've had venison was the M&S sausages years ago, and they were very good.
I tend not to be a big meat eater unless it's spiced or flavoured.

    I know, probably missing out.

My OH was gifted a shot pheasant years back, it stunk like hell.
    Couldn't eat it.

I guess game is not for me.

    Venison is the bomb.

How it's correctly pronounced, is BAM-BI.

Sausage and black pudding sandwich with lots of ketchup. OJ for the wash down.

After a decent breakie sandwich, I headed out to a local forest for a few hours ramble. At long last the weather is decent. Just had the dinner as I was starving after all that great fresh air. A basic Sunday fare. Never tire of it. Roast chicken breast, mash, peas, carrot and parsnip. A splash of chicken gravy went over it.

A small bit of breast left for a sandwich and the legs and thighs which I'll have for lunch tomorrow.

    A few Canadians now. I'm worth it.:D

Fillet of venison strogonoff with rice and chips, it was one of the slowest meals I ever ate it was so good.

Banoffee pie to finish it and me off, both enjoyed with some red wine of course.

Lamb shank cooked for 4 hours in stock, a full bottle of red wine and onions and garlic. Served with mash, green beans and a jus that you would smother your mother for.

Couple of Jive bars from the freezer for dessert.
