Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi can anybody tell me when I get a notification I don’t get image just circle with lines going through it. I have reset the watch from new and back up and still get no image when I get the notification.

Please see attached image this is just the small image taken from a screen shot but when the first notification comes from bbc news or Twitter it’s just a bigger circle with the lines going through it.

Managed to grab a screen shot of the bigger image when I first get the notification.

Yea I get that for Snapchat notifications on my watch. Looks like something is broken, the image is the one they use when the actual image can't be found.

I don't think the twitter app is available on the watch anymore. I updated twitter last week and the app disappeared from my watch. When I went to the App Store it doesn't say anything about Watch anymore.

Twitter is such a cess pool, I'd rather the Apple Watch dug rusty nails into my wrist every time I attempt to read twitter on it :pac:

    I think that's a feature of Series 4 ;)

My biggest disappointment with it so far is the inability to put music from Spotify on.

I have to agree, as a long time Apple devotee, I cant make head nor tail of Apple Music! Hate it:confused:

Don't get the hate or confusion by many in relation to Apple Music. Has been very good since iOS 10 and easy to use.

    It makes great suggestions too.

Our local supervalue finally upgraded their terminals to tap and go so the whole contactless is new to the old ones inside.
Popped in this morning and used my watch to pay. Girl on the till was amazed by it and I could hear her calling over the girls after I was walking out to tell them about the guy who paid with his watch :)

Haven't ordered 3rd party straps, but I've worn a 3rd party Milanese and an Apple Milanese (which is my daily watch strap for about a year).

There's no comparison (imo). The 3rd party one was heavy, snagged my hair badly and didn't feel right.

The black Milanese Apple one on the other hand, is super light, doesn't snag and feels like paper - obviously without the sharp edges avoiding paper cuts :pac: - on my wrist. It is a little thicker and heavier - minuscule - than the Steel Milanese due to the DLC coating.

The nylon band you should be alright with, I'd stay away from 3rd party sport bands though just cause the materials can cause rashes even with the official band so without knowing the exact chemical makeup it's probably best to skip them.

Have used a 3rd party Milanese strap and found it excellent. A small bit loose at the strap ends and the magnet is not shielded on the outside but for a tenth of the cost well worth it.

I think the problem I have with them is there’s so much varing quality. So unless you find someone who has a 3rd party one and you try it and like it you could end up buying loads of them to try.

Got my Series 3. Falling in love with the sport band again. Super fast setup, unpaired my old watch, backed up, and transferred over to the series 3 in 10 minutes.

yeah I find the JETECH ones good..
plus the Steelink one I got from Amazon is very nice and classy looking for over a fraction of the price of the real one.
Weird thing though is a some people were saying that it was hard to remove links but I found it fitted me perfectly out of the box and I wouldn't consider my wrists big.
I am going to get the offical sports loop version though for the gym.

    Reviews aren't too good.

Different topic but finding the bluetooth range really good on the watch. Still getting notifications when I'm outside and phone is in an upstairs bedroom.

Most likely the wifi kicking in.
Watch tries wifi when bluetooth is out of range

Swipe up and you should see a wifi symbol instead of the phone symbol

Most of the people say the strap is perfect but adjusting it is a bit of a bitch.
Its strange as I wouldn't consider my wrists big but the strap fitted me perfectly without having to remove links. If anything I would maybe had added one on.
I honestly can't fault it for the price. It looks fantastic so will review in another few weeks to see how its holding up.

Ok might give it a go. Do you think these straps look a lot better than the sports strap?

I take it the card is showing in the Watch App "Wallet & Apple Pay" on yout 6s? I have a cover on my watch and sometimes, when I double tap the side button, the dock apps come up and other times the card appears for use with Apple Pay. Ithink you need to double tap quickly to ensure the card shows up!! Hope you get sorted:)

On the phone, in the watch app, I have ‘wallet’, not wallet and apple pay. Within this app, I have 2 choices, mirror my phone and custom. Nothing else.

Just to check you are running IOS 11.0.2 on the phone and Watch OS 4?

    Should look like this.

Getting two days out of the Apple Watch series 3 if I don’t use workouts/gps. That’s pretty good, be nice if it’s still like that in a year / 18 months.

11.1 on phone and 4 on watch. Only says wallet on my phone where yours says wallet and Apple Pay. Odd.

Only thing about those knock off bands. It starts to become obvious they’re knock offs while the Apple bands maintain their aesthetic much better.

Agreed. I bought a couple of the knock-off sports bands and the attract dust, fluff and other detritus like a magnet within a couple of days. I'm currently wearing an official Apple sports band since June and it is EXACTLY the same as the day I got it. Whatever materials/biocides they use is highly effective at repelling cruft.

IMO the knock-off sport bands are actually a false economy and are not worth the money.

I’ve ordered the flash sports loop, definitely more suited to the gym etc I think

Just one last thing on the Apple Pay. Maybe the Apple Pay bit doesnt show up unless a card is added? I had to contact my bank to have the card authorised on my Phone first. I couldnt add it manually so to speak. Im with UB.

On the watch bands, I have a non genuine Sports band which does the trick but does indeed look tired and worn after only a few weeks. But it would still kill me to pay €59 for a watch band from Apple:mad:
