Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The recommendation algorithm seems to be utterly useless. 3 months after watching (and giving a thumbs down to) "In a Relationship" we're still seeing it at the top of the home page when we log in.

No RT reviews, IMdb 53%- terrible reviews elsewhere. Described by one as "Almost feels like a spoof".

Yeah the accents and lingo are a bit heavy at times but I can make it out mostly. I'm only on episode 7 so don't know how it ends but I hope there is a season 4.

Not much added today; just that 2018 Robin Hood 'adaptation' by the looks of things.

Four episodes into Unbelievable and all I can say is that the comments on here were spot on.

Wouldn’t have even noticed it except for this thread

Seriously? It's been the big header/banner ad on my acct all week I cant avoid it!

Might give it a go. Was so stuck for something to wstch I finally gsve Breaking Bad a try. Have to say I always had a feeling it was overrated and while it's decent I dont think my suspicions were wrong so far. Find the dialogue and performances a bit overcooked/hacky at times esp Aaron Paul. Cranston is great but everything else is a bit cliche. Ive heard people saying it's up there with the Sopranos not a hope, the Sopranos every episode was like a well made film, BB doesn't feel like that to me, it's just a long TV show and the dialogue is nowhere near as clever or funny. But good enough I'll probably keep going with it.

Might start Top Boy as well though I dunno if I can stomach that 'innit bruv' type banter it really grates on me.

Another fantastic watch in Unbelievable, thanks to here!

No spoilers but I am deeply in love with Detective Duvall.

3 episodes in, but another +1 for Unbelievable.

Considering the subject matter, you’d never think that something like this could be entertaining, but it is, and not only that, it’s actually something you want to binge. Even if this wasn’t a fact based story, I’d be totally into it, but... it is, which makes it all the more impressive.

Crazy that they could pull something like this off.

It’s a masterclass in storytelling. Bravo Netflix and everyone involved.

Just finished Unbelievable. It hadn't popped up for me previously but I really enjoyed it.

Love finding a nugget of a series like this out of the blue!!

Maybe a silly question but how do you know what and when new shows are added

The newonnetflix site is a good source for daily additions. I believe our peteeeed curates this list a bit and gives us the highlights.

Various other mainstream sites (such as the Radio Times) will often give a full list of the main releases for an upcoming month. We can expect the full October list shortly but the list of Netflix's own shows and films is already available in a few places, such as here.

Doesn't it depend on where you are watching Netflix too?

Something might arrive on UK but not Irish netflix, is that right?

True enough but the vast majority of UK content ends up on the Irish Netflix so I've found. There's justwatch which lets you filter to Irish content but I've found it flakey, at least for Amazon's content.

For those who've watched Unbelievable, my wife couldn't make it past the first scene. Are there many rape scenes throughout the series?

I think I'm one of the only people in existence that prefers the newer Blade Runner

One of the best films of the past 10 years, think I prefer it too. Looks amazing on 4k too.

There are a few flashback scenes but nothing graphic as far as I remember. Others might chime in and confirm

I only watched the first 4 episodes so far and there is more flashbacks, nothing too graphic but its not easy to watch either.

Yeah, but we know when the thing is going to happen and that there is a
premise of flashbacks in the show.
I've been ignoring the trailers and planning to watch as open as possible as potentially others would. :)

Follows the same beats as the first one really so if you liked that then I'm sure you'd enjoy the sequel.

Happy Death Day is a fun movie.

    Is the sequel any good?

It downplayed the horror, instead amping up the "college comedy" aspect; stopping short at being completely meta, but it was a film that leaned into the inherent outrageousness of the situation - and going back to the well for another go. I actually prefer the sequel just for it going full John Hughes meets Groundhog Day.
