3-1 Breidis. Usyk looks a little too tired for just the 5th rnd!

  • Registered Users Posts: 748 ✭✭✭boxer.fan

Breidis has Usyk very rattled. If it continues like this Usyk may be stopped.

Breidis looking tired. What a pace, and Usyk turning the screw. Breidis landing the more eye catching shots

  • Registered Users Posts: 748 ✭✭✭boxer.fan

Just as I posted Usyk picked up the pace. What a great fight

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,288 ✭✭✭megadodge

Usyk is beginning to take over.

    He's simply out-punching Breidis.

    2 seriously tough campaigners

In the end I have a dodgy sky signal so am watching it on a stream in german.
    3-3 thru 6

Usyk bossing this fight now the past 3 rds. Bit too fit and strong it seems..

    4-4 for me thru 8

This is what a super series is meant to be like!

    Good fight this.
Enjoying it more than I thought I would.

Usyk exerts so much pressure. He's on Breidis constantly. Relentless.

That round is so hard to score. Loving this. It’s world class stuff.
I’m tempted to put Breidis 5-4 up

Usyk dominant in the 10th 5-5.

  • Registered Users Posts: 296 ✭✭goalie2

6-4 Usyk for me. Breidis looks gassed. That busted nose not helping.

    This is tight.

Haven’t been rd scoring but Usyk overall looks to be winning. Clear enough as regards the flow and pressure..

Cracking fight. 7-5 Usky for me.

Breidis is a tank. No wonder he sparked Charr.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,288 ✭✭✭megadodge

    Really enjoyed that.

I think Usyk took it, though I missed the first 3 rounds.

(Edit - not a robbery) I felt Breidis won clearly. Great fight, Usyk needs to work on acuracy and timing in my opinion. That’s boxing!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,288 ✭✭✭megadodge

You gave the last 4 rounds to Breidis?

    I'd have to disagree there.

Funny as it seemed most his shots tonight seemed to lack brute force...

Either that or Usyk is teak tough...

Usyk is a big CW. Had height and reach over Breidis, which makes Breidis’s work tonight all the more impressive.

This was no robbery. Usyk was pressuring the early part of the rounds while Breidis was finishing hard. This was a top class match, one which I would love to see again. No argument for the decision either way.

Nuts! It was Usyk by 1 or a draw.

You’ve a point. Not a robbery. I felt Usyk missed a lot tonight - interested to see thrown to landed ratio for him. Think I’ll edit my post to remove ‘Robbery’

I think Breidis won it but yeah, close fight.

    Usyk is a huge CW.
We just happen to be operating in the higher class of boxing when we have these fights, it’s fooking great to see.
I’d have no doubt that Breidis or his like would spark a lot of heavyweight bums such as Whyte or Brown given the chance. Remember Manuel Charr!

You are right, he did miss a lot, but so did Breidis.

The close scoring punches rds IMO should have been scored for the man effectively pushing the pace and applying effective aggression and controlling the flow of the fight. That man, for the most part was Usyk.

    Usyk is not unbeatable.
I can't wait to see Dorticos vs Gassiev.
Someone is going to get sparked and I reckon Usyk will be lucky to avoid the same fate.
This series is just fantastic, best vs best.
