Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Every team boos everyone. Let's not get carried away that the big bad Patriots have invented booing.

I’m not saying they are the only ones who do this, but they tend to be a lot more vociferous

This isn't rugby or hurling (though you're probably not right there either). It's the NFL and every NFL team's fans boo the opposition. The loudest get heard and in this case one team doesn't really have any fans because LA doesn't give a toss about them.

    Let's go Patriots!

I thought Gladys Knight was going to keep saying "free" for the rest of the night given how long she knocked out of it. :D

Right before the game starts. I'd like to say to all the regular members of the American Football forum It's been a pleasure to be part of the forum for another year. And to Adrian and Heli you do a thankless job and I'm sure I'm not the only person who appreciates all ye do. And lets have a good game and hopefully we have a controversy free game and the best team wins.

You are saying I'm probably not right when I say I never heard a team being booed before a hurling or rugby match. I am certain that I haven't.

Only for the kicker, he might well have been

I have in hurling. God knows what happens in rugby, they're probably all away filling up the prosecco when the teams are coming out.

Buy anyway, all NFL fans do it. And really, who cares? It's not like they're throwing coins and if booing bothers any player then they should go home.

A very quick interception there - it'll give Brady plenty to think about

Great defensive stop from Pats there.

This is gonna be a lovely arm wrestle hopefully.

I second this. It's a pleasure to dip in and out of here over the year.

Keep up the good work all!

Patriots have already done more defensively than they did in the whole of the last super bowl!

Uncharacteristically poor throw from Brady but our D bailed us out. Nice hit from Clayborn on Goff too.

CBS said something to do with hitting before he had a chance to be a runner

It's not often Gronk is wide open for a pass.

Brady very uncharacteristic at the minute and seems unsure with the TOs. Some huge hits so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 394 ✭✭rebelyell99

Brady seems scared of rams d line

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Take a time out then run it on 3rd&8? Strange call that and huge waste of time.

I don't know who to support, only connection I have to those two places is that my grandas cousin was a priest in California though my sister did bring me home a mug from her holiday to Boston.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,223 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Some time for the first missed field goal in that stadium this season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Strange start for us. Awful INT, used two TO already and now a missed FG.

Jared Goff is from cali. Your a rams fan

Rams need to capitalise with the Pats looking out of sorts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,350 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Jim Nantz put the jinx on the Pats kicker and Romo called him on it.

Pretty awful call on 3rd down after a timeout.

Patriots sure do suck to start Super Bowls.

8.5 mins to under 1 time of possession too but still 0-0 as well

I've never seen a team run as many play actions as the Rams
