Laughing in my sleep

Mid 30's now, been laughing in my sleep for as long as I can remember. It happens maybe 3 times a week. I'd say I can only remember what I was laughing at maybe 5% of the time. My wife is well used to it now, but it can get quite annoying for her. It's most just giggling and a bit of a chuckle, but sometimes can be a big loud laugh and it wakes me up.
The Snore Lab App can be funny to listen back to.
Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any remedies to prevent it?

If the snore lab app is funny to listen back to I'd maybe replace it with the late night wind up app. Excellent cure for somnabulent laughter

Hypnogely is a relatively common phenomenon of laughing during sleep.

"The collected data and review of literature suggests that hypnogely in majority of the cases presents as a benign physiological phenomenon related to dreaming and REM sleep." Essentially it's one type of normal response while dreaming occurring for a number of people.

Had this a few times , sort of half woke up but next morning I felt really refreshed for some reason--as I'm a bad sleeper and never wake refreshed I found this a pleasant experience, wish it happened more often. could never remember what I was laughing at though.
