Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's really good...my brother got me into Beirut, but I have to go back and listen to the Flying Club Cup. I've only really heard 'Gulag Arkestar' and 'Postcards from Italy'. The Arkestar is class...we were joking that it sounds like the kind of music you'd hear in a movie set in the Ukraine in the Soviet era, with columns of thousands of oppressed people marching desolately while Cossacks laugh and stroke their beards. Dark humour, I know.

I love the song 'Nantes'. There's a class video on YouTube for it:

Yeah, have to check out Daniel Johnston, love that song 'The Beatles'. And yeah, Spirit of Eden is such a class album. Was seriously thinking of getting a small tattoo, just 'Spirit of Eden' or 'SoE' in a hidden place.

Mark Hollis is a genius. Laughing Stock and his solo album are great too.

Yeah first time and hopefully not the last. Been listening to them since I first heard 'Obstacle 1' on Phantom about four or five years ago. That song just blew me away and since then I've been hooked.

The live set is fantastic. Great mix of fast and slow songs. 'Slow Hands' was definitely the highlight. The energy between the band and the crowd for those 3 minutes was amazing.

I bought a record player (after trying 4 shops I got it in Argos for 60 squid) so I’ve been enjoying the first electric prunes album and a "post-punk" collection called DIY...because they are the only vinyls I own.
