Your typical Supermarket ploy have the chocies/sugardrinks and general hazardous food by the security gates and checkouts. And the greatest of Superfoods the Blueberry all the way in the produce section. When i was in Tesco a few days ago shopping i noticed a few people with half a trolley full of those cheap chocolates. Lets just say they wouldn't be running the local marathon anytime soon.

You're surprised that a supermarket has offers in a high traffic area, and fruit in the fruit section?

Just how many supermarkets have you been in?

Prof Gibney says, “There’s no such thing as a good or bad food. Like i said with statements like that i'd be hurling paper balls are him in his lecturers. I'm not trolling so i finish on that. My whole point from the start is that those chocolates are to cheap for a reason that's all.

Celebrations and Roses in Aldi at the moment for 4 euro 95.Same price as Dunnes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,498 ✭✭✭dowtchaboy

by the way Dunnes are restricting the boxes of sweets to 4 per customer or at least per transaction. I presume this is to stop people like me buying 6 tins and then claiming €7 off with my SuperValu voucher.

They're not the proper coffee ones though - they used to be coffee cremes similar to the strawberry. Now they're coffee truffles, nowhere near as nice :(

WTF? The coffee truffle is the nicest sweet in the tub. I'd buy a full tub of just those if I could.

    I can't understand the outrage.

aw Yea I remember the ones your talking about. I got a box of roses about 3 weeks ago and there wasn't any of them in that, so unless the are bringing out new edition before Christmas you are out of luck :( the coffee ones were the only ones that were ever left behind and threw out in my house, no one ever liked them
