Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Really! You learn something every day, that is news to me, must investigate. I am aware there are a lot of places int he UK with canals, but I would have thought the likes of Manchester would have had most.

    Possibly wrong but I thought it was Sweet Fanny Adams who was a little girl who was murdered in the 19th century. There was horrific mutilation of the body, if I recall correctly.

    Yes indeed Srameen, the poor girl was only 8. A couple of years after her death sailors started using the expression to indicate the poor quality of the stew they were getting as part of their rations, because it seemed to comprise of loose odds and ends. :(

    putting the record straight Steve Veidor existed on Saturday afternoons & on some late night weekly shows , as a wrestler on ITV, always a good guy, real name Steve Bell & still with us today.
