Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How likely is a DGW for Chelsea in GW25? It would need to be confirmed pretty soon.

    Possible yeah. Not likely.

I'd be terrified if it was, imagine having to consider Triple Captaining fupping Hazard!!!

So by when will we realistically know the re-arranged dates?

No way am I getting Hazard in no matter how good he is playing

I’ll be TCing either Luiz or Huiguain if DGW25 goes ahead

If DGW 25 were to go ahead would only have Sane from perspective teams so would consider free hit. Get a decent 11 from the players below and no need to restructure for 27.

    Sane, Sterling, KDB, Kun, Ederson
    Alonso, Luiz, Hazard, Higuain
    Digne, Siggy, Ricky
    Duffy, Gross, Ryan, Murray

Makes sense if you have not wildcarded. For us early wildcarders GW32 is probably best when the Free Hit is best utilized.

Probably mentioned elsewhere but Son and South Korea lost their 1/4 final.

He's in my thoughts now again when Chelsea and City are blanking.

Could be my Richy replacement, if i downgrade Jimenez to Niasse, or Jimenez to Ings and Digne to 4.5m.

A midfield of Pogba, Salah, Son and Sterling would be great. You could even say it'd be taking the PSSS.

Especially if you got Iwobi as your 5th cheap midfielder.

    No Chelsea dgw25

    No DGW25 for Chelsea.

I'm happy with that actually as a Hazard owner. Bournemouth away and Huddersfield at home before selling and nobody will bring him in now.

Maximum of 8 PL teams in the last 16 of the cup. A couple of all PL ties and there wont be very many blanks and doubles.

The way things are going the blanks and doubles will be a non event.

    West Ham next to drop!??

    Nooooo!

Blanks and DGWs are the main advantage us obsessive eejits have over the casual eejits

I think even if you've used wildcard and/or free hit early it's still best for serious players if the blanks and doubles are tricky and require some planning.

Other serious players with wildcard etc may be at less of an advantage over you but the masses have just got a big leg up.

Guess it depends whether you're playing for OR or more to beat certain rivals in certain leagues.

I have but one simple question:

Does it seem like Palace will have a DGW in GW37 or not?

Asking for me, not a friend :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,502 ✭✭✭spock.

With no DGW25 for Chelsea and Liverpool not having any DGWs, it's going to be tricky to find the best TC.

City assets are all at risk of rotation in a DGW so risky to use it on one of them.
If Wolves get to the FA cup quarter final, then Aubameyang likely to have a DGW32 of wol, NEW which might be the best we'll get.

As someone with only one player from both team I’m not jumping for joy with this.

Totally messes up my plans. The only reason I brought in Hazard on WC was for GW24 and GW25, then dump him. I have Digne, Richy and Sterling for the DGW. I'll need to ponder dumping Hazard (HUD) for City mid/Aguero (ARS, eve). At least I didnt sell Richy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,254 ✭✭✭✭km79

Ill prob stick with digne Ricky and aguero
Pep roulette will be in full affect no doubt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,654 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Keeping Ricky just because he has dgwk feels like a trap but I'm gonna do it anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,254 ✭✭✭✭km79

My entire squad have decent gw 25 fixtures now
BB without taking hits is tempting
I don’t have a second playing keeper though Cos Australia got knocked out
    Pity

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

They're 3 tough enough games for City; ARS (Feb-3rd), eve (Feb-6th) and CHE (Feb-10th). The FA cup either side of them too, meaning players already rested and more than likely after the Chelsea game too. I can see Aguero playing all 3 games, possibly Sterling and KdB too. I have Sterling and will strongly consider getting Aguero too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,342 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

I've Laporte, Digne and Sané. I've no idea what to do. Feels like I need Sterling or KDB somehow. Just brought in Mané, and it feels like I need to maybe sacrifice him for GW25.

However City's tough run means I may be jumping the gun.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

Zero interest in Everton players. Second game vs City is hardly worth considering, especially for defenders. Don't own any and think those who do may be trapped into keeping out of form players over a very low ceiling extra game on top of a tricky enough game vs Wolves.

Big question for me is whether any of the City players are worthy of consideration for the TC?

Digne Sterling Aguero happy enough with that, do I bother getting in another City player, if so will probably be gk or def

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

Best thing about this dgw for me is that I now dont have to worry about hazard captainers at home to huddersfield.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,520 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

Between the fact Everton's extra game is City and rotation within City is fierce I'd not be too inclined to go nuts. I've Digne and Sane at the moment. Maybe might try get Laporte or Ederson too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,675 ✭✭✭thunderdog

Will Mendy be back in time for this DGW?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

Sorry I haven't looked at the whole dgw/blank situation yet, but would free hit be an option for 25 for someone still with a WC?

Depends what kind of team you’re likely to have in the interim. There’ll be less blank weeks with the way the FA Cup has gone but I still think it’d be more use to you to have it for that week if City, United and Chelsea are all on blank weeks and probably more depending on the form players at the time.

It really depends when you plan to use your other chips. Id be thinking FH makes most sense in dgw 32 between both blank weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

I have Digne and Richarlison so will probably keep those two and get one of Sterling, KDB or Sane in and that will be it for DGW25.

I don’t really see much potential in it given the fixtures for all concerned and the obvious City rotation nightmare. City also have Chelsea a few days later.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

    Have Digne, Ricky and Sterling.

Likely to do Alli to Sane this week, and then Auba or Firmino to Aguero next week.

There's nothing there that doesn't seem unreasonable for 5 of the best DGW options!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,426 ✭✭✭Shedite27

A DGW for City basically means you're guaranteed 90mns from Sterling/Sane/Aguero etc. Wouldn't be expecting anything more than that.

I have Sane, Sterling and Digne, can't see myself buying anyone else for that week. Will probably move Digne and Sane on afterwards tho (was planning on moving both in 27), very happy with the DGW

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,113 ✭✭✭galwaylad14

Any ideas when Chelsea's match they're missing in GW27 will be?

Planning on using FH in W32, Wildcard in 34 and BB in 35. Ideally I'd also like to use TC on a double week but I just don't fancy this one at all cos City don't exactly have easy fixtures and very hard to be certain who'll play both games.
