Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's at times like this we realise the importance of friendship. Saviour every moment of it (the golf course that is, not the token friendship) :P

Class - that looks like one of those photoshop jobs. Or a Gathering advert. Even the cart track has a drain to side (lol).

    Report due.

I guess the purists would say there should be no cart track on a links. Tell your friend we were asking for him.

I parred the 18th... That is all you're getting :)

Have been trying to post a few more pics but I'm having no joy.
They don't allow buggies at present but new paths were put in all over course during the winter. It very much looks like they're getting ready for buggies.

Corballis - one of the new holes in the corner (next to The Island). Is it the par three?

Did think that - but can't be 10th.

The only hole that would match that is 5 and 6, - but can't be 10 at Corballis.

Have not played Portmarnock (real or new holes)

After that you are into Rush / Laytown.

I give up - I'm just guessing every links on east coast.

Yeah didn't recognise the hole but recognised the coastline. Thought I could see Howth in the far distance. My next guess would be Arklow but I'd be guessing.

..... you need to move further North !

Seems like nobody else wants to play this 'Spot the Hole' game ? :)

    Is it Corballis as well?
It's been a while since I played it. Can't remember which hole it might be, early enough on the front 9, 4th maybe?

Or is it the 6th... the same hole that was that someone posted yesterday... that'd be cheeky :)

That post of the 5th Hole yesterday prompted me to post this one of the Par 3 6th....... well spotted.

Now that we have the 5th and 6th, think I have the 7th Hole in my collection of Aerial photos ?
Now that, would be cheeky ? :)

It's a shame it wasn't all of that quality and some of the par 4's 40 yards longer, there are 5/6 holes that you could slot on to any links course in the country. 1st 6th 9th 13th are all great par 3's and the 3rd and 5th great par 4's. I suppose though if the rest of the course matched up to them it would be one of the top 50 in the country and would be 50 quid to play it.

    Mike

This is one of a number of Aerial Imaging Platforms I developed, started many years ago with the purchase of a Petrol engined RC Helicopter with a 1.9 Metre Rotor span with the intention of doing .Golf Hole Flybyes'.

Boy............. was that a costly experience !
