Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

TH that my eye prescription hasn't changed since last year.
As I did a little victory dance around the room, the optician burst my bubble by adding "hb, it really couldn't get any worse!"

That at some stage ( punch drunk with lack of sleep) I succeeded in getting all five indoor/outdoor cats inside. I know they can cope but I cannot unless I have them in. HAPPY

Hearing the wind and rain outside and knowing you don't have to go out in it.

There's something timeless about a hound stretched out sleeping in front of a fire, with its chin resting on its front paws.

Also Anewme's posts in the Wherer thread made me TH, but its locked at the moment. I remember my granny taking me to light a candle in the (to a child's eyes) awesome and imposing Franciscan church (friary?) in Limerick city. And TH strong wind, when I'm walking into it and it suddenly gusts harder and makes my heart flip.

Got a Dublin Bus in Rathmines pretty handy. Then the bus pretty much coasted home with me, only making one or two more stops, passing most. The bus was devoid of school kids too of course, it's Sunday. That always makes an enormous different to the inside of the bus.

Remembered the name of a song I liked but forgot for ages til I heard the end of it on the radio. Instead of it nagging me forever at the back of my mind.
    Sia "Unstoppable"

Also very TH by the things a friend says. "Pale blue is not really a colour for a gentleman's conveyance" meaning a certain young gentleman's car :)

Seeing all my family glued to the count, indulging our inner count fetish. One of the rare things that unites all the generations and capabilities.

Expelling an uninvited guest with a minimum of fuss (no, not that thread). A wee mouse decided to take up residence behind the washing machine. Left the back door open, but he didn't fancy a rinse in the sleet. Fair enough says I, I'll set down a fromage deluxe in the corner. After a few minutes, bellyache overtook caution and he scampered across the room. He met a gentle tap of the broom enroute (snapped it in two), poor fellow was a little shook from the impact. Thankfully he had a sympathetic friend nearby, I lifted him into the dustpan and initiated orbit over the hedge. Worried his new lodgings might be drafty, I'll check in on him later.

It made me TS (Trivially Sad). Thinking of the poor wife and kids, huddled together in some dark corner of Berties utility room wondering where Daddy mouse is. :D

No wait. I think I read that more gently than it happened. Orbit? :D

Being indoors with a cup of coffee, watching the snow falling.

It's not much, more sleety at this stage but just enough to briefly make everywhere look picturesque.

Receiving a PM at 2am from a gentleman re-reg, stating his admiration for my work & optimism that we could keep a cordial repartee on his next account. It's the little gestures that make it all worthwhile.

TH , well it doesn't really make me happy so much as I burst out laughing. Don't blame me but watching Brendan Howlin on the news I realise how tiny he is . He is a 3/4 size human!!

Lashing rain from all angles here, with thunder and lightning. My little terrier absolutely conked out asleep and oblivious. Next thing he wakes up and walks straight over to the door to be let out for a wee. He took one look and just went NOPE - turned on his heel and back to the sofa. Just the whole expression he made was so funny. Like 'fuk no, I'll hold it!' :D:D:D

Doves cooing. Sunshine. Heat. I think this is looking positive for a long (starting early) hot summer full of adventures. The early starters are the best summers. Squee!

I don’t know why we didn’t realise how small he was before ! My husband saw him on the news and said “ Has he shrunk “

No rehearsals tonight and I took the day off tomorrow. I'm so happy. I've had such a busy/horrible 2 weeks because of rehearsals and being sick so it's nice to rest for a little while!

Trivial satisfaction, the Mr.Middleton catalogue is now printed on paper and no longer reeks of vile chemicals. Used to have to wash my hands after touching the previoys catalougues, they'd feel coated.

Also TH when I come across an Annie Liebovitz photo. She was the mistress of her art.

So hard to capture this but bear with me...

Was stuck in a tailback on my way home the other day (two way traffic) just inching along.
Up ahead at a shopping centre exit on the left, there was a woman trying to turn right to join the traffic coming against me.
A few cars in front there was a white van to the woman's right and as a gap appeared in the traffice the woman saw an opportunity to edge out onto the road and looked left to try to move to the other lane, the white van accelerated almost running into the right side of the woman's car.
He was completely out of line but from what I could tell (right arm out the window angrily gesturing) lost the plot.

Well what happened next just made so happy, as the woman turned right onto the opposite lane, she stopped by the side of the van, lowered her window and blew him a kiss and took off with a huge smile.

I would have paid good money to have seen his reaction. I am going to use that!

Golden Time and I'm smiling as I look at all the kiddies munching happily and listening to Beat Bugs "All You Need Is Love" (if you have smallies you'll probably know it ... if not, don't google it or you risk earworm for the day). One of my little Junior Infants arrived in this morning with a home-made Valentine's card for teacher and packets of love heart sweets for all the class. I'm eating a "Love Bug" one atm ... very appropriate as this little Bumbóg still has a cold. I'm also THH (trivially teacher happy) that he spelt my name correctly! This little Romeo is a right little divil at the best of times but there's a classroom filled with love (& sugar) atm so I'm giving him a free pass on divilment for the rest of the day!

I turned my phone camera on to take a photo of something but it was switched to selfie mode by mistake.
My surprised face in the screen.
First time in 2 years I looked like myself, and healthy. Ive had a few good weeks now and then when I gained weight but it always dropped off again. Was also suffering from dull stressed skin and dull eyes. Was causing loss of confidence. Very very pleased today. Feels like I've crested a hill Ive been schlepping up and sliding down on my face for 2 years.

Ordered a basically a bucket blackberry bush last year from them. Its fantastic and still going strong. The amount of berries it produces is loco, but it does make a nice wine.
