Christie must be sleeping with the Ray D'Arcy in the car park this weather.....

Christy and Martin McGuinness have the same illness, amyloidosis. I wish them both well

That bottom button on Christy's shirt is under serious pressure.

Always a relief to see Christy Dignam looking reasonably well.

Look at the delight in Christy's face getting praise from Finbar. I love Christy. Get a song going lads!!!

I know someone said earlier in the thread they hate the tribute shows, but i love them (apart from the country music nonsense). A tribute show to a particular person or group is always class.

When they decide to do a tribute to someone, it should be for the whole show.

Agree completely with you. The Dubliners tribute show is without doubt my favourite ever LLS, i remember every story they told and song that was sung almost by heart. It helped that the show had such a brilliant host around that time!

I found it very upsetting to see Martin McGuinness on TV looking so frail :( I hope he makes a good recovery.

That Body Language Expert is now having a rest after watching Christy sing live.

There's been so much 'filler' on the LLS in the last two weeks, this should be the new sponsors...

I remember my dad recording that on our first ever, newly bought VCR. I watched it loads of times. One of my favourite ever tv shows and the first time i ever set eyes on Shane MacGowan. I couldn't understand his face. :D:D

Sorry folks but Christy is butchering this song.......

Dropkick Murphys do a good version of this song.

    Beautiful song.

Always amazes me that singers like these can remember the lyrics to word heavy songs like this.

Yeah. He was just rushing through it. His timing was all over the place. Would've preferred if Finbarr sang it all on his own. He has such richness and soul in his voice and delivery.

I'm embarrassed to say I used to have the biggest crush on Patrick Bergin about 20 years ago :o

Me too! Haven't seen him in years, wonder has he aged well! I used to fancy the socks off his brother too - aka Dick Moran from Glenroe! :)

There's a great show to be made out of them two and a few others singing a few songs and telling a few stories.

Would have been ideal for New Years Eve. Anyone but Tubs or Darcy to present it.
