Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nicely spec'd diesel Octavia estate, NCT til August 2021, 1 previous owner, €1395

This looks nice, but that cream interior would drive me mad

Tempted to go have a look at this, be a bit worried about the mileage on it mind, 188k miles.

Also tempted by this 06 xtrail with 150k km for 1500.

07 Toyota Corolla T3 hatch with 104k miles. £1275 ono. MOT till Jan which I believe can be tranferred to valid NCT. With a little discount it should come in around 2k including VRT and NOX. Not many left in good condition nowadays.

    Good buy?

Anyone know where I can find the correct NOX value for the 1.4 vvti. I have a 05 one, but this it's not recorded on the log book.

Mk1 Prius with NCT til August 2021 and seven months tax apparently, €790

A bit rough looking but I definitely would! I'm driving a Mk2 for the last few weeks and it is averaging 47 mpg and close to 900 km to a tank.

So after posting here on a few occasions, I've finally entered the world of bangernomics. Picked up this 2006 Celica earlier for 1300 quid. Bit more than I would have liked to pay but it was the only insurable one i could find.

It's the blue edition with rear sensors, alarm, full leather, sunroof and working climate control. It's the 140bhp variant with 6 speed box and the NCT was only done less than 100 miles ago. It's got 4 new tires, recently serviced, new discs.

Needs a good valet and a touch up on passenger side but very neat apart from that - I'm delighted!

How much does a tank cost/hold?

I'm on the look out for a motor vehicle if anyone knows of something going

Particularly looking for a Volvo XC90 or an old school land Rover disco automatic diesel passenger version 5 or 7 seats. Older than 2006 (which is rather obvious really because I would like to spend in around 1K which may very well be optimistic) NCT would be great too

In return to the bangeromics thread I offer a 2004 Corolla which featured here previously some months ago

It has an NCT until January and has not been put in yet

    What it needs:
    Tax
A clutch - nearly gone but still driving - read further.
A drop of oil about once a month
    A wash
    A hoover
And she's good to go !

It has a 1.4 petrol engine, it starts everytime, the Heater works, the radio works. Well actually tbh everything works grand in exception to the clutch. I'm still driving the car everyday with no issue so that clutch isn't that gone, just take her handy.

The seats are actually very tidy, no rips etc. Tyres have good thread on them.

Bad point. body work ain't great but quite honestly who cares ?

€400 or best offer but no silly offer.

Unfortunately you would expect it to have a higher asking price then. The higher tax is why you have the lower asking price... whichever way u want to put it.

Asking €875, and price will also include a new timing belt and water pump

Right I actually got sorted with a newer better car for myself

    So

    For sale

    €400euro
2004 Toyota Corolla 1.4 terra ttvi petrol - Saloon
Engine is good , a small oil top up probably once a month
All tyres have plenty of thread, car runs fine no problems
Clutch is worn but is still driving fine, clutch will probably last another month or more with careful driving.
    NCT until January
Interior tidy , bodywork has some scratches
Front electric windows, electric mirrors, alloy wheels, 2 fobs + 3 keys, alarm with remote central locking,
Fans , radio etc all work fine

Grand little car and good run around. No engine light or anything of the kind, just drive away

Need gone soon so €400 or best offer will take it,

I owned one years ago while in my Alfa phase. While it was one of the smallest cars I owned, I loved it. The 1.6 isn't particularly powerful with only 120bhp, but just a nice car to drive. Mine had aircon and cruise control and from memory, I used to get somewhere around 35mpg. Always reckoned I'd buy another one again, even just as a weekend car like you say.

I had that engine in my 156. The thing adored revs. Would do 75mph in 2nd gear.

One of the best cars I had and surprisingly reliable when maintained properly. I had over 180k miles when I got rid

45 litre tank in the Mk2, and I think I paid just under 60 to fill it last week. Just gone to around half a tank tonight and I’ve done 480 km.

So 45 litres is around about 10 imperial gallons. If you average 47 miles per 1 gallon, you should be able to do about 470 miles if you drive to the point that it's running on fumes or you actually run out of petrol. That equates to just over 750km so how do you manage a claimed 900km with an average of 47mpg (6 litres per 100km in modern day, non British Imperial Measurement speak).
