Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    the one about 92-year-old neighbour?
Actually I’m making an assumption this is his dad. But I’m not sure. Said his dad did a long sentence when he was 11 so dates would tie. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/man-found-guilty-of-manslaughter-of-toddler-1.338051?mode=amp

Yes it is. In the Indo article I posted it says Robbie Redmond lived at the same Ferrycarrig Park address as the Redmond who firebombed the house.

    COINCIDENCE???

Obviously I didn't read it or I wouldn't have asked the question. I thought it might have been related to the other shooting. Maybe the cops came on the scene or were giving chase. I'll be sure to scour the internet before asking any more questions just in case.

Do RTÉ set up rolling checkpoints in D4 to get guests for the Late Late?

Lads looking for a car chase in Darndale and shot the van. Gardai noticed it later.

A particular vehicle travelling from Holyhead which was stopped and searched by authorities on Thursday.

Revenue offices seized €36,750 and £40,000 (€44,566.39) after discovering three packages containing the cash concealed underneath the bonnet of the vehicle.

A three month cash detention order was granted by Judge Bryna Smyth at Dublin District Court.

They know what they're doing with the notes keeping the sterling at 20s. I was in England for the last weekend in Aug (their bank hol) and not a chance of most businesses anywhere breaking a 50 note, even the supermarkets did the UV light and pen scribble thing to see is it real!

I think it's like when you see someone with a €200 note here, they probably collected or got it from the bookies. Might not have even had a bet on! :pac:

Where do you even get a 100 euro note? Do you have to ask the teller for them specifically?

Had to laugh at the quote from the article

He said he was returning from Europe where he had "just been driving around".

I mean, it's possible they already had him targeted when the stopped him..............but surely you'd have a better story than that. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer

I'd be surprised if the the side who this threat has been made against are not wiped out before the year is gone (by wiped I mean 2 main chaps either shot or locked up).

Obviously not the sharpest tacks in the box. I’m sure the added Garda attention is bad for business and all for the sake of what seems like saving face or hard chaw syndrome.

That threat could come back to haunt them if one of their own side get lifted by their rivals.

Acid attacks have been happening in London for a few years now resulting in some horrific injuries where one victim commited suicide not long after. The judiciary handed out some hefty sentences to try and stem the tide. I haven't heard of this ghastly torture tactic in Ireland as of yet but it is a new low and a threat that must be taken seriously by that Crosbie lad before he ends up looking like sloth out of the Goonies.
