And it seems nobody can explain why Russia would want to "off" a has-been.

Why would Russia do such a thing and leave such a trail?

Without so much as a glimmer of evidence, why are things like sanctions already being spoken of?

I understand that there are people out there who are frightened and/or want to really believe Downing Street but this latest episode is just amateurish.

If I was a leader of a country like Russia I would slap down this fakery with severe ramifications.

you want to come to the World Cup? Good, Any British photographer now needs a visa and it will cost 10 million dollars. BBC want to broadcast games to the world? Every camera in Russia will now cost 50 million.

All English players now need to go through 10 days of medicals and all supporters need to pay 1000 to enter Russia.

these stipulations do not apply to anyone else, only the English.

The UK and the US is going to do FUCK ALL about this. Why? Because it's a farce.

It reminds me of MH-17. You have beakers like John Kerry saying "We have absolute proof that the Russians did this" and then can't put his balls where his blather is. Now we have this crap.

A Russian was poisoned in England along with his daughter.....It's PUTIN!!!

Proof? fcuk that, who needs proof?

I can't wait for the next pantomime of a stitch up.

You want to implicate somebody? Then prove it. Show all your evidence instead, Thereasa May, of demanding that they prove themselves innocent.

that was funny. "We need the Russians to prove they didn't so this"

    :pac::pac:

    And she leads a country?

I was just paying attention to something.

Since The UK refused access to Russia's inspectors regarding this chemical agent, apparently that puts the UK in breach of the international treaties regarding chemical and biological weapons.

Correct me if I am wrong.

There is evidence, you typically don't accept it. If the Russians tried to use the world cup as you suggest, it would be the last time they ever compete in one or get to host any world sporting event.

Russia's reply to the OPCW is worth a read, censorship ensures that the MSM will not be allowed to publish it. I found it by accident at English site off-guardian.org.
The British authorities’ unfounded accusations of Russia’s alleged involvement in using poisonous agents on their territory are absolutely unacceptable. Our British colleagues should recall that Russia and the United Kingdom are members of the OPCW which is one of the most successful and effective disarmament and non-proliferation mechanisms. We call upon them to abandon the language of ultimatums and threats and return to the legal framework of the chemical convention, which makes it possible to resolve this kind of situation.
Our British colleagues should save their propaganda fervour and slogans for their unenlightened domestic audience, where perhaps they will have some effect. Here, within the walls of a specialised international organisation, such as the OPCW, one must use facts and nothing but the facts. Stop fomenting hysteria, go ahead and officially formalise your request to begin consultations with us in order to clarify the situation.

I'm glad you brought that up. There you have it, a statement from Russia that they are a member of the OPCW and that they regard it is a significant and trustworthy organisation. That is the same OPCW that released a press statement that includes this:
The bio-medical samples collected from three victims during their autopsy were analysed at two OPCW designated laboratories. The results of the analysis indicate that the victims were exposed to Sarin or a Sarin-like substance. Bio-medical samples from seven individuals undergoing treatment at hospitals were also analysed in two other OPCW designated laboratories. Similarly, the results of these analyses indicate exposure to Sarin or a Sarin-like substance.

Director-General ümcü stated clearly: “The results of these analyses from four OPCW designated laboratories indicate exposure to Sarin or a Sarin-like substance. While further details of the laboratory analyses will follow, the analytical results already obtained are incontrovertible.”
    https://www.opcw.org/news/article/opcw-director-general-shares-incontrovertible-laboratory-results-concluding-exposure-to-sarin/

Goodby to any credibility in denying the use of chemical weapons in Syria, which Russia seems happy to facilitate with their significant assistance.

It seems even the UK's NATO friends aren't interested.
You would think NATO would be on a war footing and meeting in emergency sessions, doesn't their charter say an attack on one member is an attack on all members? Some "attack".

Not just paid someone, they have huge so called troll factory to promote itself inside and outside country(they even have branches located in other countries), so you never know, how many of russia supporters on this forum are employees of that factory, only assumptions...

Nice try but why are you bringing up the Khan Sheiktoun false flag attack in this thread? Your link doesn't point the finger at anyone for that attack, it was our pro jihadist terrorist media that blamed Assad for that "attack".

The usual accusations of being paid by the Kremlin for not believing British bullshit.

    1. Britain makes an accusation.

    2. Britain refuses to provide proof of accusation.

    3. Britain demands the accused prove their innocence.

The story is so pathetic that only a sap would go along with it.

But it shows how standards have fallen in the last few years. You just have to make a baseless accusation with zero proof, repeat it a few times and then go silent when challenged or even discredited. Doesn't matter. As long as you don't admit that you were lying all the time then a sizeable portion of people will take as gospel truth what you said to the grave with them.

Take a look at the whole Niger yellowcake lie. Proven to be a blatant fabrication but because nobody came out and admitted to lying and being outted as liars then there are still millions of people (the kind who haven't evolved much beyond the baboon) who still insist that it's the truth.

England should boycott the World Cup, they'll struggle to progress in the knockout stages anyway so it's not like they're sacrificing anything real.
The US didn't qualify, so they can present a unified PR front on it.
Putin has the same ego as every other autocrat and it would annoy him more than a few sanctions or a couple of diplomats being expelled

What will really annoy him is imposing strict controls on the ownership of property & banking regulations for Russian Citizens. The oligarchs own huge chunks of London & they are close to Putin.

Maybe have a little hunt & find where Putin has stored some of his vast wealth.

If they can organise any credible boycott they could really damage his image at home and abroad. Couple that with legislation to clean up all the Russia money sloshing around London and they could really hurt the bare chested one.

Go ahead and boycott it. See how far that idea goes with the English public who couldn't give a fuck about Teresa May or BoJo the Clown or the rest of the Washington arse-lickers. You think that the world will come screeching to a halt because Britain, the most important people on Earth, are going to take their ball and go home?

Yes, it can't be a real World Cup if mighty England refuse to take part.

You think that the British public don't care about the first ever use of a nerve agent. You think they wouldn't care about a whole town being affected ? Some experts are talking about the remnants of this agent lasting for years.

This comes on the back of the Polonium episode that shut down parts of London. The accused now runs a posh restaurant in Moscow favoured by Putin. How would Putin react to a nerve agent attack in Moscow ? It's state terrorism pure & simple.

I fear that this "chemical attack" in Salisbury could be preparing us for a major false flag operation in Syria. The idea is to get "Russia" and "chemical attack" into the public consciousness and a compliant media and the photos of children will do the rest.

BBC claiming that Russia didn't reply to Britain's ultimatum, the letter I posted earlier proves that they are lying ..... qu'elle surprise!

Am I speaking to the same person as last night's chrongen? I only ask because this is not the first time Ive seen you take one position after a post, then completely change a short period later. I can only imagine this is some kind of parody of the russian troll factory meme.

Now to return to your Donbas argument, you may not have been present when I made the case that there were russian "volunteers" (a phrase which spans actual volunteers to russian contract troops) in donbass, but everyone arguing against the idea seemed to go quiet once I finished proving the point. Now if the media reports, photography, testimony of soldiers and familiarity with the russian MO in these frozen conflicts is not enough for you, perhaps you could reread some of the arguments I made.

Otherwise, youre not so much representing a healthy skepticism as much as a deranged refusal to consider the facts, like a no moon landing nut or a holocaust denier. And given your other contributions on this forum on diverse subjects I find it difficult to sustain that proposition.

The irony of you implying you are capable of independent thought when all you ever engage in is a repetition of official Russian misdirection and bombast is epically ironic.

You can't even manage simple geography. Let me help you there:

    Baltic.jpg

Crimea is not in the Baltic.

The US is a Democracy. Russia is not. US Organisations like the CIA, FBI and NSA are answerable to elected political representatives, as evidenced by the assessment that the CIA lied about the significance and importance of information derived via torture. Clearly there is independent oversight and assessment of the integrity of these bodies. A report compiled by all three of those organisations concluded:
"We assess with high confidence that (Putin) ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the U.S. presidential election, the consistent goals of which were to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump. When it appeared to Moscow that Secretary Clinton was likely to win the election, the Russian influence campaign then focused on undermining her expected presidency."

I find that credible. That you do not speaks for both your intelligence and capacity for critical judgement.

I don't swallow any statements by governments, organisations or individuals without independent thought. The irony of you deriding me for for not being a CO2 climate change believer is hilarious given your claims I always just believe and parrot the official line.

You have officially sanctioned Russian state media gloating over multiple suspicious deaths of Russians in the UK, basically warning Russians that if they betray Russia, the same is likely to happen to them. That was tantamount to an admission that those deaths weren't accidental and were intentionally arranged.

You talk about an inability for independent thought yet you can't even comprehend the most trivial basics of what is happening. Litvinenko was assassinated with Polonium. It was deliberately chosen to send a strong message because the substance is such that only a nation-state would be able to manufacture it. Putin might as well have carved his name on Litvinenko's forehead and posed with him for a selfie and posted it on Facebook. As assassinations go it was deliberately not subtle or anonymous. The same goes for the poisoning of Skripal. A substance was used that was deliberately and unmistakably linkable to a nation state - Russia. Again, the intention is clearly to send a strong message, the Russian media doubles up on the message and as good as admits these events were Officially contrived, gloats and warns the populace.

A BBC article summed it up rather well:
It is almost as if those behind such actions simply do not care about being found and called out about it.

In the past, intelligence agencies talked of wanting "plausible deniability" for their covert operations - being able to say it was not them.

But observers say that with Russia, it increasingly looks as if the intelligence agencies are happy with "implausible deniability" - even if it seems obvious they are behind an act, they simply say "prove it" and try to muddy the waters with misinformation as much as possible.

Certainly makes sense. Israel has a lot to gain by poisoning Skripal and discrediting Russia's reputation, while Russia has absolutely nothing to gain by killing or attempting to kill Skripal in such a self-incriminating way. It makes absolutely no sense. Russia has put a check on Israel's machinations in Syria and Lebanon so the undermining of these checks makes perfect sense.

You think that the British public don't care about the first ever use of a nerve agent. You think they wouldn't care about a whole town being affected ? Some experts are talking about the remnants of this agent lasting for years.
How many people have been evacuated from their homes in Salisbury?
Has anyone been advised to leave Salisbury immediately for their own safety?
Has anyone been advised to only drink bottled water? NO.
