Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's the Quick Park like? It's got mixed reviews.

Excellent. They have a great system the way they control the parking locations. They fill a row at a time. So when you drive in, you simply follow the "spaces" boards until you meet the Marshall who guides you into a row. The bus is waiting at the bus stop and you'll have a 10 min wait at most. So there is only one active pickup point. So you are out the gate 5 mins after getting off the bus.

For drop-off, they drive around the site, from stop to stop. If you forget where you parked, they know what rows we're being filled on what days at what hours.

I wouldn't bother about Premium. You have to queue to drop your keys off and queue to pick them up again, and you get on the bus after the bus has picked up the Regular customers. So sometimes you'll be standing the whole way to the terminal.

Thanks for that feedback - really appreciate it.

Are the car parking spaces marked out on tarmac or are the spaces unmarked on a loose gravel surface?

Loose gravel surface ( They are more small stones than gravel)

    Thank you.

Do they pack the cars in tight together if the spaces are unmarked?
Or would it be a standard car parking space?

If you go to premium they park if for you, no idea how close (side by side) but bumper to bumper.

If you park yourself you decide the space you want to leave, but most cases you are directed to a single space between 2 cars, but the space is normally a standard space.

Not a bargain alert but just to let people know DAA increased Red car park by 26% from €9.50 per day to €12 per day on the 6th of May the greedy grabbing gits, looks like the €133 million profit they made last year of which about €50 million is from car parks isnt enough for them.

With the same business plan that turns €50 million a year profit , thats how. And if it was properly serviced by direct fast public transport most of us wouldn't need to use the car parks but that's another issue.

The €12 per day is the drive up and take a ticket price.

Quickpark currently €47 for 8 days in June. Reduces to €42 with WOOF.

actually it shows that its reduced from 47, but if you try to book without a code its 52 for standard and 57 for premium. 50.96 if you use CINEMA and NOVA

Also note: with a code WOOF premium comes up first and standard second.

I made a booking for another person. Left him loads of wriggle room but now I discover that he likes to be at the airport early .

Anyone know how ‘early’ you can arrive at quick park before the actual booking

His flight is 3 hours and 45 minutes after car park booking but he says now he likes to be at the airport over 4 hours early. How much sooner can he arrive?

( me: I’d be turning over for a snooze, but everyone’s different)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,776 ✭✭✭abff

Probably won't be a problem. See following extract from T&Cs.

1.6 If your car park entry and exit times change from that specified in your pre-booking confirmation email as a result of which your Parking Period in the car park is:
Greater than the Parking Period booked (overstay), your debit or credit card will be charged the appropriate fee for the additional time based on the tariff applicable on the date of your departure from the car park.

    Thanks abff.

He has plenty of time to spare after landing so I’ll tell him to go to QPArk when he’s comfortable.

The Quickpark website is still advertising a cost of €47 for 8 days, but when I tried to book it online for next weekend, it is quoting €57. When I tried using WOOF and/or Group1, it says there are no more spaces available to book online.

With WOOF code 8 days from 26 June costs 47€ so not to bad and no point to wait longer because price will go up.

That code isn’t working for me. Booking from 23 June

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,252 ✭✭✭joeysoap

WOOF still working for me. Same rates as devil-80.

    Try a different browser?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 956 ✭✭✭devil-80

Try longer time i think must be at least 7 days.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,252 ✭✭✭joeysoap

    Yes, that could be it.

You can always drive out after a shorter stay. But you’d have to weigh up the price options.
