    Hi,
Looking for a king size mattress.Preferably no memory foam...OH wants something "really firm", I would prefer something not rock hard!!Any suggestions?OH has some minor back problems, and our current mattress has been a disaster although it is relatively new. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Hi Shesty,

Apologies in the late response. Our Royale mattress has natural fillings so no memory foam. It is classed as firm. It's not rock hard but definitely firm; https://bigmickey.ie/product/royale-natural-3000-pocket-sprung/

So is there anyway to avoid the dreaded "dip" we have had no luck recently with the mattresses we've bought

We bought a kaymed (I won't tell you what we paid for it, but suffice to say we didn't get the return on investment we thought we would get) after less than a year we'd two hollows in it

We then went an ikea mattress at a quarter of the price and we got 4 years out of that before hip pain from the hollows meant it's now waiting to be disposed of

We've a cheaplayzee spring mattress what cost us pennies back in 2004 when we first bought our house that we're back using now and it appears to be as good as any of the ones we spent mad money on

So what type of mattress is the best to avoid the dreaded dip for as long as possible? I know every mattress dips eventually but I want to avoid sleeping in a hammock as it kills our hips and back.

We're not over weight before telling me to lose 10 stone, lol

    Help!

(Going to go back to a king size, super king had an even bigger hump as far as we could see)

    Hi

Is your bed base level ? Is it a divan or frame ? Don't get very . many mattresses dipping and we would sell a lot. I have seen it in the past but not very often.

It's a divan totally solid if not a small bit springy (do they come springy?). Like when you lie on it, it feels comfy we made a joke saying it was more comfortable than the mattress. Came with the first mattress that dipped. Then replaced the mattress but kept the base

Never thought the base could be the issue. It's like new so that's why we never replaced it.

I'm sick of sleeping in a hollow

What would be the best type mattress to avoid this. To be honest were only seeing dips since memory foam became a thing in most mattresses. But maybe that's just a perception

We were going to revert to pocket sprung if it would help us get longer from a mattress

Apologies for late reply but we have been crazy busy sine all this covid thing started. The 2 in 1 has a very firm side but you flip it over to reveal a softer side. I have slept on the softer side myself for about 6 months in the past and like it. It's in stock if you want to have a look at it. We sell quite a few of them.

Possibly either the Tabby which is a 6 inch foam - no springs for 149 euro or the Breasley Uno 1000 pocket sprung for around 180 euro. Both are not too deep for the bunk bed. Tabby is on our site but don't think we got around to putting the Uno up but can send you a link.

Some bases can have sprung tops. It depends on budget I suppose. Best to buy something you can turn to avoid dipping.

I've been reading on here and looking at your site and I've narrowed it down to two

The Hilton 3000 on dublinbeds and the vogue (king-size I'm giving up on super king)

Which would be best for lower back pain?

If you've got any other recommendations I'd appreciate it. Must have good back support as I'm crippled at the moment

I'm leaning towards the Hilton myself or do you think I should spring for the diamond 2000? No pun intended 😂

    Thanks

Hi Mickey, I got sidetracked on measuring the camp bed, will get to that during the week.

However, I'm now also looking for a new bed for a room I rent out. Currently has a metal/wood frame combination and before my lodger broke it it wrecked my head creaking every time he moved.

So I'm looking for a silent bed and mattress, open to divan but afraid of headboard banging. Room is big enough for a king size, that's what's currently there. Toying with putting in a double and a small desk though.

Lodger moving out, timing is awful (I'm recently redundant) so want to keep the price down. I do know there's no point in buying cheap cheap either. So my budget is "as little as possible but as much as it needs to be".

Hope you can work a miracle!

Hi. Looking for 2 double mattresses. Currently have memory foam toppers on too, but now they are not doing their job at keeping back and hip soreness/pain at bay. What would you recommend to avoid help with back/hip soreness/pain and to negate the need for mattress toppers. Thanks.

    Hi

They are all good mattresses. We sell lots of all of them without issue. The Hilton 3000 is unbelievable value for money currently due to the discount offered. A similar model to it is about 200 euro more expensive than it normally with us. I'd say go for the Hilton 3000. You can turn it. It has a memory side and an ortho side.

    Price in Kingsize

    Vogue Ortho 349 euro

    Hilton 3000 399 euro

    Diamond 2000 699 euro

    Thanks

    Hi

I'd say The Hilton 3000 would be better than either of those models and at only 399 euro in Kingsize, better value also. Unlike most Sealy mattresses, you can turn or rotate Hilton 3000. It's a beautiful mattresses for the price. It has a memory side and a firmer side but either side would be medium firm. Delivery is free when in your area. PM your details if you want to proceed.

Thanks. Don't want to fit headboard to the wall for a couple of reasons.

What divan set would you recommend based on a budget of as much as necessary but as little as possible? I'm guessing the Vogue unless you have any other specials? I would also need a headboard. Still torn between double and king. Room is 4m x 3 so plenty of room for a king but funds might be tighter given I've now realised I have to replace the carpet too, I don't know how he damaged it the way he did!!

Also are you still doing removal of old beds and mattresses? Have no idea how I'd get rid of the old ones otherwise.

    Hey,

Would be looking to get a Hiltom 3000 in a double. Would need a bed frame also. Space is at a premium so was looking at the Ottoman beds. Also

Would they be as sturdy a divan? The extra space would be great but I'd be afraid the Ottoman may not have quite the same support or longevity?

Also would you be delivering to Wexford in the next week?

    Thanks

    Hi Caranica

The Vogue would be much better quality than the budget bed. There is only a 50 euro difference between double and Kingsize bed.We do a matching headboard for 50 euro. Double is roughly 135cm wide and 190cm long. Kingsize is roughly 150 cm wide and 200 cm long. I say roughly as some manufacturers make to metric and some make to imperial sizes. We can remove the old beds for a small charge.

    Hi stryker mcqueen

Something to consider before you decide on king/superking is your stairs if you have one. Many customers get excited about getting superking only to find that many superking models will not go up their stairs. You can overcome this by buying a vacuum model or something like a full natural latex model which is extremely flexible. You would get a high quality bed from us for your budget but would be better to chat with you to see what your needs are first, You can reach us on 043 3341895 or 086 8356888 or PM us.

    Thanks

    Thanks

    Hi lenoude

WE keep the Hilton's in stock all the time. A divan ottoman will take up less space and still give you full double size. They are sturdy and we sell big quantities of them. Delivery to Wexford is possible. You can order these ottomans in different colours and fabrics. We also have random ones which work out cheaper as they are not custom made.
