Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just sorted my 2 weeks off for summer.
I'll be going to Liverpool v Arsenal and Ireland v Switzerland during them.
The other 12 days around those two events should just fall into place!! :D

When you read a comment on boards.ie and think
'Jayus, that poster made a great point, I never thought of that angle'
'That is a really interesting way of looking at it'

Then realise you wrote the post! :D

    :o

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Printed photos. My dad’s partner had to get her dog out to sleep a few weeks ago as she was sick. My dad’s partner is currently back in hospital so I printed off a good stack of photos of the dog for her. Seeing how much the photos cheered her up and put a smile back on her face was lovely.

Today I managed to get my father to use skype (both receiving and making a call) in less than 5 minutes. It usually takes hours, 'cause he doesn't look, and he doesn't listen. But today it worked! :)

And, 'spesh'lly for Seph, today I saw a ginger cat going absolutely wild rolling around in a flowerbed - the Council decided it'd be a good idea to fill it with catmint! :pac:

Lost my Ikea virginity today and loved it. Got some new black out curtains for my new bedroom, I work a mix of night and day shifts so black out blinds make me very happy.

The best part? They were only €28.

The moment of deepest inkiest black perfection when you crack open a new mascara, knowing the air's getting in and it's days are numbered and it's never going to be quite so black from then on.

I'll let you know when I see who's sitting at out table tomorrow. Will you bring Autosport? I don't want her to feel you've left her behind.

    Oh. My. God.

Some of you might remember me saying that I wasn't allowed to see my 8 cats after I broke up with my ex. It's been 2 years.

But today, I was having a nap and my amazingly perfect boyfriend woke me up with a kitten!!!!!!! I bawled!! I actually can't believe I have a cat!

My boyfriend, manly and all as he is, is great at sewing and I am rubbish. I’ve a wedding at the weekend and my dress needs a few alterations so I had it on last night and there he was, pins in mouth, thread in hand adjusting to my every request. I asked for one final thing to be done and he comes out with “ah ffs retro at this stage I might as well just wear the bloody dress”. :pac:

Pick the one for forums by copying it.

Then come back here and just paste.

The 2-year-old. He's great craic. Full of questions about the world. No matter how much explaining I do his monosyllabic answer is: 'Why?' The other day as I was driving and he was sitting in the back seat, I responded 'Why, Why, Why' and he quipped, followed by a giggle, 'Miss American Pie'!

And yesterday evening bringing him to his 84-year-old great aunt's farm and he goes off with her on a trip on the "tarracóir", which is really a tractor lawnmower, and the two of them drive off down the very long lane over the hill out of sight with the lights on as his face beams with delight only to drive back into view coming up the hill 5 minutes later still elated by the trip. The two of them finally get off and she shows him rabbit holes and they went around the fields looking into rabbit holes while she tells him an old folk story about a fairy fort some fields away and his little face is amazed, but all his little mouth can say is 'Why?'. She loved the excitement as much as he did - but she would have slept last night!
