Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A repeat(ish) of the previous deal from August. "Free" flashlight but you have to pay shipping.

    496357.jpg

New accounts can get the i3E Black (1xAAA)

Existing accounts can get an i3 UV Green (1xAAA)

Note that the green one is a UV flashlight - not something that everybody would have a use for. They can be used for verifying bank notes, looking for pet stains etc.

Offer starts now (28th) and runs til stocks last.

I have one of these torches from the August deal, and I can confirm its a cracking but of kit. What makes it good is that it takes a AAA battery unlike a lot of others that take the button batteries.

    £4.95 (stg)

What's the quality and light output like on these?

I'm sure some of you lads' bedrooms will look like a Jackson Pollock when you use the UV light :D

The previous deal thread is here. A few people bought one and most seemed pretty happy with it.

The main thing is that it is one of the smallest 1xAAA flashlights you can get.

    attachment.php?attachmentid=496369&stc=1&d=1574933900

Output is 90 lumen which is good for a 1xAAA. There are brighter 1xAAA but none at this size or price. It has a TIR optic rather than a reflector so it has a smooth beam with decent throw.

The UV (ultra-violet) version, it's a better saving but not everyone will have a use for it.

Rubish. On Wish app you get same flashlight for free. Just pay shipping 2 euro.

I checked and they offered me a choice of one sock, a half-used chapstick or a screen protector for Nokia 3210. "Rubish" indeed.

That's massive compared to the OP. I've one from the last time and it's barely bigger than a door key. The only slight issue I have is that it'll drain the battery even if inserted backwards, so you need to leave it off regardless of how the battery is inserted.

I can recommend this fantastic powerful all-metal little torch with built-in rechargeable battery (micro usb), front led (adjustable throw) and COB strip light on the side. COB strip light very useful for lighting up an area.

less than 4 inches long (I have it measured as 9cm x 2.5 cm at widest point)- very pocket-able. seems very similar (if not the same) to the one posted above by another poster.

    great little torch tbh.

only $2.80 delivered - got mine in 2 to 3 weeks.

Olight make quality torches, and you won't get a better little torch for £4.95

I have four of these bought at different times.

They are not the same as cheapo Eurogiant lights - they are tiny, light and give off an amazing beam. You can tell they are proper brand kit.

Yep, there are cheap torches available year round from Aliexpress and the like. I would have posted them if I thought they were worth posting.

This is a quality little light from a good brand, and the kind of thing that's nice enough to give as a stocking-filler. I believe they ship from NI, with the last deal most people had them in a day or two.

    Thank you, teotwawki!

I3E is one of the best AAA torches available right now. I compared it to ThruNite T01 with its supposedly 125 Lumen output and I3E was brighter.

Got this torch last time it was posted. Arrived within a day or two, did ship from the north.
Great torch and amazed how good the quality is, easily equal of led lenser and maglites.

I got one from the previous deal, and another two yesterday. Great little flash lights with an unbelievable amount of light and you really wouldn't know they're in your pocket, also have the Astrolux on the right in Teotwaki's picture, another great little flashlight too.

    Thanks OP.
I ordered based on its quality and size compared to wish Tyler products.
Need something for work, checking fire/smoke dampers, shafts etc but didn’t need anything that’s bulky. This can clip into my site jacket and I won’t even notice its there.

You got a "massive" torch :D

compared with this fella , I know it's £12 but it's rechargeable by micro usb and outputs 150 lumens.

I would have opted for that. USB charging would be worth it alone.

Just had mine delivered today. Thanks OP.

Lovely little torch, nice weight to it, and several steps above the stuff you get in Deals, Mr. Price etc

Its a great little light just a pity it doesn’t have a low brightness setting. Got a few other bits to get the free postage Got the I1R 2 rechargeable is nice has the low power setting but the battery is tiny. Got a 18650 cell and usb charger too.

There was also a RCA123 cell with magnetic charger and end cap for the S1 Baton or H1 headlamp on offer for free. Want a headlamp but it is out of stock. I’ll order it whenever it comes back in stock.

It doesn't fit the S1 Baton.
Also the H1R headlamp, will have 100 lumens more light than your converted H1, so probably better wait until the H1R is reduced and you will have more light and a spare battery charger for a couple of quid extra.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,466 ✭✭✭Ryath

Seen a review saying that it did but maybe it was for an older model. S1 seems hard get now anyway Mostly only the S1R is available. I probably should have ordered the H1R but then I'd have been at £70 and would have to spend the £100! It's already been expensive weekend! I'll wait and get which ever model is on offer first.

It definitely doesn't fit, I have both in my hand. :D
Also for consideration, the H2R was £57 in the sale and it's absolutely in a different league to the H1R which is the same price (non sale)

I’m still waiting on mine but they did say Black Friday week will be slower than usual.

Did the little yellow plastic battery isolator fool anyone else? It took me about five minutes and a few different batteries before I realised it was there and it needed to be removed before the torch would work!

    Thanks teotwawki!

The yellow "Read Me" sticker on the plastic case said to remove the plastic insulator ;)

I got mine today, thanks OP

I'm some dope! I only opened the case enough to get the torch out. I just checked and indeed the yellow sticker is there.

I think we all tend to just reef things out of the box and ignore the instructions! :D

On a previous torch deal I remember a guy came back onto the thread complaining that it was "dimmer than a dim thing". It was a 3-level torch and he was in the lowest (moonlight) setting not realizing there was two more :pac:

    Torch arrived yesterday.
    Thanks OP.

Such a powerful little device, you wouldn't expect it.

Problem now, is I find myself checking their site daily for another torch :)

    That was me !

This time around I did look at the packaging and saw the info about the little yellow isolator disc.

I remember when I got the first of these kind of torches a few years back I was stunned about the different light levels and other options they had. Previously for me torches just had an on and off button and that's all it did. With some of these torches you really need to study the manual to learn all the different button presses.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,245 ✭✭✭Esse85

Unreal beam from such a tiny torch.
    Many thanks to the OP

Check out the Emisar D4v2, you'd be lost without the cheat sheet ! It even has little pads so you can flash a new firmware on in the future..
