Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Best of luck to everyone running on Sunday. Will it be available to watch online does anyone know?

Eurosport normally show it, haven’t seen the listings for Sunday yet though. If not Watch Athletics has streams available.

Training has gone very well, but I've been here before - tip top shape, aiming for 2.50 only to run 3.17.

DCM 2018 - I was on target for 2.55/2.56 & lost about 4 mins to cramp, running 2.59.17

For this race - with no hills, more fitness & stronger hamstrings - I can gain 3-4 mins I reckon.

So 2.52 is the logical target :)

Running a 6 minute PB would be a fantastic performance.

OK - The dreaded topic - the weather.

BBC have it getting to 15-16 Celsius by 12pm/1pm.

    Great. Super. just dandy.

    Might change my target........

Accuweather has been devastatingly accurate in the past
They are forecasting a cloudy 16C on Sunday
They have it at 21 for the same day last year

That explains my p!ss poor performance. Nothing to do with being undertrained :D

Local Dutch weather has it sunny, light breeze with max of 12 degrees before midday. As I said already humidity has been upwards of 80% lately in the mornings & might catch some out.

We had dinner here the night before, Place was busy with runners as they do very nice pasta.
It was right beside the Merriott Hotel in Rotterdam.

I experimented today with running by HR zone instead of pace. I think the pace I've trained at for a 3:03 might be a push given how the last couple of weeks have been with the flu. I'm better now but feel sluggish like you do after you've been through a battering.
Better to race at what I'm able to do rather than what I would like to do. If I hit 3:03 then, mega. If I don't, but run a decent race without blowing up, no harm done. In a way it's a bit more exciting as I've no idea what I'll end up at

Yep, there's a tracker on the app. From what I remember it was quite good last year

Breege Connolly and Ann-Marie McGlynn are gone out at 2:33 pace. Ann-marie had a cracking run in the Barcelona half a few weeks ago running 1:11:59 so this could be interesting for her debut.

Will someone keep on eye on them. The app and website are crashing for me so I can't track anyone.

    By God that was hot
I was very chesty from the off so as soon as the HR went up, the pace started to come down.
Wound up struggling to about 3:32. Not happy with the time but given the conditions, me and the weather, I can't complain

    Thanks for the support folks.

Barry, top notch reports as always, was quite warm out there.
    Met Rob afterwards, top man.

    Time to celebrate now.

Btw, the report will be epic.
