Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Welcome to the live thread for Boardsies Best Song of the 70s.

    We have 175 song entries.


    Please note:

    Everyone can vote
    Any song that got more than one vote has automatically gone through to the first round. To fill some of the remaining slots in the first round, any act that had multiple songs entered with one vote for each had some of their songs put through.

    The remainder have been drawn at random for the qualifiers.



    For the qualifiers first to five goes through to the next round.

    It will be interesting to see if any other 10CC songs were nominated. They had a number of hits during the 70s, including two other number ones. I did consider nominating something by them but it was hard to nominate everybody with a list of ten songs. I wouldn't mind but I was quite into them for a while.

    In fairness it almost made my list and I forgot about it when I had to cut out two of my songs for not meeting the requirements!
