Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That is fantastic, 181 quid for tax on a 1.4 back in 98?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,823 ✭✭✭✭bear1

Is that tax disc 181 Punt per year? Think I see it stamped as Nov 1998 so if it is for the year then that's 230e on a 1.4.
Today it's 385e to tax it for the year so it's an average increase of 9.11e per year in motor tax.
    Bastards.

Correct and right. What I wouldn't give to see a few of these, xr2's, GT Turbo's, Nova's and mk2 Gti's on the roads rather than A4 TDi's and POXY Qashqai's

The amount of new Tucson Kadjar Qashqais and likewise make me wanna cry at times. When the car ad focuses on the motor tax and not the ball of sh1t they're peddling things have got bad...

Nick that R5 is absolutely awesome!!!!

A few years back my granny gave me the task of breathing life back into her R5. She hadn't used it for years and wanted it sold. It was a 1995 and had 25,000 miles on it :pac: I'm sorry I ever sold it, should have kept it in the family. It was a 1.4 and in a car that size it was VERY nippy. I can only imagine it with a turbo!

    Well wear :D

Such a nice R5 and someone had to go put a hole in the roof :(

I know debadging is popular on 2.0l diesels with M Sport/S Line/AMG packs but I could never debadge one of the proper M/RS/AMG models

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,799 ✭✭✭maddness

The best think about debadging a nice car like that RS6 is that 99% of people just see another A6 Avant.
    I think it's brilliant.

The silver one had a price tag on the window of just over €50,000 - I can think of a few other cars I would buy with that money!!
