Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Some very high rainfall totals expected over the next 48 hours with possibly even more over the following 48 hours.

    Status Yellow rainfall warning in place:
    Status Yellow - Rainfall warning for Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford

    From early hours of Wednesday to noon on Thursday, spells of heavy rain at times will give amounts of 30 to 50 mm with a risk of spot flooding.

    Valid: Wednesday 20 November 2019 00:01 to Thursday 21 November 2019 12:00

    Issued: Tuesday 19 November 2019 11:00

    ECMWF rainfall totals up to Sunday night shows over 100mm possible in some areas!

    High risk of some local flooding if that turns out that way.

    We don't have a yellow warning here in Wicklow, but most of the roads in Greystones and surrounds are flooded. Microbursts of torrential rain early this morning. Roads are almost at a stand still.

    Yes, clearly Wicklow should have been under the warning.

    According to Ashford weather station its 40mm now. Wonder why wicklow not mentioned in warning. Seems a bit odd. Had to take alternative route to the school as my usual road flooded.

    Intensity of the rain in Waterford has def picked up. Watching the rate per hour increase on Waterford Weathers page. Just went from 4.2mm to 7.2mm

    It's a mix of showers and clear spells here in Wexford,we even had sunshine earlier after a wet night.
    My car was frozen at 10pm and it was gone up to 6c 2 hours later and then the rain started.

    Extreme weather index from ECMWF says mroe than a wet day, if the models are accurate then flooding is likely in some areas covered by Orange warning.

    Think Met Eireann have the location of the rain bands forecasted too far east. Also I think likely rainfall totals may not be massively high. I could be wrong. But unless theres some monster system out to sea I don't see the potential here for first wave of rain anyway

    This shows how poor the rainfall coverage from radar is now that Shannon is down.

    Absolutely pouring down in Clonmel atm. Rain gauge already shows 20mm and yet the rainfall on ME is showing nothing.

    Posted earlier about that sharp cut off on the east coast from the overnight rain
    The Arklow wow is about 8 kms north of me at the rugby club 28mm
    Clonanny about 15kms south of me 9mm (in common with johnstown I think)
    Me in between the two 15mm

    Clearly a heavier band started to come inland mid Arklow somewhere up as far as Bray
    I heard there was traffic mayhem in Ne wicklow during rush hour this morning

    Yeah long time since I heard so much rain forecast in the one bulletin,suppose with shannon radar down the rain has to fall in the east!!!!
