We don't have a yellow warning here in Wicklow, but most of the roads in Greystones and surrounds are flooded. Microbursts of torrential rain early this morning. Roads are almost at a stand still.

Yes, clearly Wicklow should have been under the warning.

Rain started about an hour ago here with 2mm recorded so far. It will be very interesting to see totals at my station in the next few days

According to Ashford weather station its 40mm now. Wonder why wicklow not mentioned in warning. Seems a bit odd. Had to take alternative route to the school as my usual road flooded.

Intensity of the rain in Waterford has def picked up. Watching the rate per hour increase on Waterford Weathers page. Just went from 4.2mm to 7.2mm

It's a mix of showers and clear spells here in Wexford,we even had sunshine earlier after a wet night.
My car was frozen at 10pm and it was gone up to 6c 2 hours later and then the rain started.

Level 2 ………….. is that similar to an Orange 'alert' ?!???

Extreme weather index from ECMWF says mroe than a wet day, if the models are accurate then flooding is likely in some areas covered by Orange warning.

Think Met Eireann have the location of the rain bands forecasted too far east. Also I think likely rainfall totals may not be massively high. I could be wrong. But unless theres some monster system out to sea I don't see the potential here for first wave of rain anyway

Screengrab from the WOW-ie page on Met.ie shows quite be variation in accumulation totals accross the country pretty well.

Rainfall getting gradually heavier and heavier as the day drags on in cork city. Another heavy blast of rain now.

30 and 9 within a few miles of one another?

It's tipping down in Waterford but the wind is the real villain in terms of misery.

Compared to last Wednesday dry in Dublin.
    Mild.

Dry in meath, very breezy to, should dry out the ground a little bit before any more rain arrives

This shows how poor the rainfall coverage from radar is now that Shannon is down.

Absolutely pouring down in Clonmel atm. Rain gauge already shows 20mm and yet the rainfall on ME is showing nothing.

Posted earlier about that sharp cut off on the east coast from the overnight rain
The Arklow wow is about 8 kms north of me at the rugby club 28mm
Clonanny about 15kms south of me 9mm (in common with johnstown I think)
Me in between the two 15mm

Clearly a heavier band started to come inland mid Arklow somewhere up as far as Bray
I heard there was traffic mayhem in Ne wicklow during rush hour this morning

You're living in Galway long enough to know better than that. It's easier count the days it didn't rain in Galway than days that it did.

I don't think I've ever heard a radio forecast like the one by Gerry Murphy at 755 am on radio one this morning for Eastern areas
Rain every day for the next week
    Spot flooding every day
    No let up at all

I'm afraid the East needs to try a little harder to be the new West, as west coast stations are still coming in with the highest November totals this month so far:

Top 3 wettest stations in the Wesht (up to yesterday)
    Valentia: 129.8mm
    Newport: 126.2mm
    Belmullet: 120.8mm

Top 3 wettest stations in the Easht:
    Dunsany: 115.6mm
    Dublin Apt: 111.6mm
    Phoenix Park: 102.4mm.
    (Met Eireann)

The East needs to up its game a bit. It is dealing with a long experienced, hardened opponent here. No time for pussy-footing around!
